I’m not clued in on Miami PD chief Acevedo’s overall view on gun rights, but to his credit, in the wake of this, he’s stressing the need to strongly enforce and punish those illegally possessing guns, while letting the law-abiding continue to own guns. I’m (vainly) hoping people are starting to realize you can’t go asking for more gun control when known players keep getting released back onto the street.
