I’m watching the post game bullshit. Lalas et al. He was brutal but puffing about how bright the future is and we have so many players in Europe etc. Then I got to listen to Tyler go on about this is America we always find away, excellence this, greatness that. This is the problem. Fuckers keep blowing smoke up asses instead of calling out systemic incompetence and acceptance of mediocrity. The system is amateur hour. No academies that grab a kid at 7-8 years old, teach football and academics until 18. Sink or swim. Dismiss the kid if he doesn’t develop on the field. Disgusting been watching this going on for 45 years PS : I went to high school with Gulati. Not a great player by any means but he was an organizational genius and knew the game even back then. I was sure US Soccer would succeed under his administration. |

View Quote I don’t know the intricacies of the “under” labels (you can be 24 and still play U23 if certain variables are met?) but 15 of the 23 USMNT senior team players are 23 or younger. CP10, Musah, Sargent, Dest and Reyna are 23 or younger. That doesn’t include Bello, McKenzie, Weah or Adams who didn’t make the most recent squad. Are none of them eligible for the Olympic squad having played for the senior side? |

Lewandowski out for couple weeks with knee injury. That sucks I'm not a bayern fan at all but I simple can't stand psg.
On which note any predictions on who makes it to the finals. I'm going to say bayern vs chelsea. |

So I did a little more digging. Since 1992, men's teams are limited to players aged 23 and under. Since 1996, teams have been allowed a maximum of 3 players over age 23. I wasn't able to find anything about being capped at the senior level disqualifying a player, just the age limits.

Portugal has banned all flights to and from the UK, so both legs of the Chelsea-Porto tie will be played at Sevilla's stadium. Which is ironic because Spain's ban on flights from the UK is what prompted the first leg of the Chelsea-Atletico tie to be played in Bucharest.
