I need 24/365 tech support.
Who knows anything about Rasberry Pi? LogMeIn is fucking killing me with the yearly subscription fee. I think I can put a Raspberry Pi at customer sites for remote access to my phone systems, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. |

If I'm on site or have a remote connection to a PC I use the management program installed on the machine.
There is also a web-based administration tool. |

Nice dinner:
Made a batter of flour, chicken stock, egg, milk, pepper.... dredge some chicken tenders in flout then in the batter and deep fried at 375 for 7 minutes. Meanwhile I made fries from some fresh idaho potatoes, fried at 325 for 4 minutes, let them cool, then fried again at 375 for 5 minutes. |

Phurbs or Tater don't do it (that way) Don't use a Raspberry Pi? not yet. I might use the Pi for a VPN endpoint, but I'll ask a different question - do they already have a VPN this is behind? |

Phurb might be the one to answer that.. I have a Pi 2, but haven't done much with it yet. Yet... And even then, I'm not sure what I'm gonna use it for anyway. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I'm not quite sure how to do the remote desktop to is if it's on a different network though. |

I would be very wary of doing anything to put your PBX on the net directly, which I think might be what we're discussing

Here's what got this started. I did an install in our area for another Avaya partner that is based in MA yesterday. One of the items they had me install was a Pi with their own branding. Their customer had a flat network with just an internet modem, no vpn at all. I'm assuming they rdp into the raspberry and then either use a stripped down version of our management program or use the web interface to manage the pbx. |

Well aware of those risks, I have one or 2 systems that have public IPs and there are constant hacking probes, none successful yet, though. Hackers will redirect pbxs to dial numbers overseas so they can talk to their terrorist buddies without international charges and without tracking. |

I need to occasionally remind myself why I don't get into internet pissing contests. Today is becoming one of those days....
Someone seems to think flat out that women have no place in the military...... while I don't think they need to be in direct combat roles, I don't mind the differing opinions they can bring to the table and trying to explain that to Billy Joe Redneck who married from within his family is becoming a moot point.... |

Just not worth it. And I agree with the part in blue. |
