This happened in IL when the state wanted to close down the ghetto in Chicago and redistribute the people among the smaller cites across the state in the late 2000s, they built apartment complexes in multiple areas and moved these people into new section 8 apartments. Fast forward 10 years and these cites are all crime ridden shit holes now that went from a couple of shootings a year to multiple shootings every week.

Bravo. It’s not just her, it’s every Socialist. This is the number one lever for Socialism. They target supporters with promises that they fully intend to fulfill, just for a completely different group.

Ask the long term residents in Springfield and surrounding communities what happened to the new jobs at the new plant. I’m sure plenty of people in the Tri-State area would have happily taken the sweet taxpayer funded/supplemented relocation package given to the workers that are filling those jobs.

The neighborhoods/complexes looked like absolute shit after a year and were literally the center of crime.

Tampa? In the early eighties Tampa city council allocated funds to rehab 36 (3 two story buildings) units of a recently closed Gov housing for "Under 18 Single minority moms". Free furnished Apt, utilities, healthcare, food card, day care, healthcare and a monthly check. The 12-17 years old couldn't pull their pants off fast enough to get pregnant, get on the gravy train and get away from mean old mom. The progressive mind isn't capable of foreseeing unintended consequences.

We need… (wait for it)… LESS GOVERNMENT red tape and bullshit standing in the way of building affordable housing.

This is capitalism. If there’s a reason NEW affordable housing doesn’t exist, it’s because the market doesn’t allow it.

There’s a reason the smallest new construction is always 2400+ SF McMansions in HOA developments and not 1200-1500SF starter homes… because by the time you factor in all the bullshit red tape and permits and zoning and crap, you can’t build a small house cheap enough that someone looking for a starter home could afford.  Just like vehicles; there's a reason you can’t find ~$10-12k cars anymore … by the time the EPA and gov’t gets done doing its thing 1/2 the unnecessary shit on the car is mandated and it’s less reliable.

This is all by design. Urban planning and 15 minute cities… They want the dumb masses in apartments and in cities and not to have the means to move freely about.
