if i've learned one thing from listening to countless navy sEaLz on the shawn ryan show, they are ALL gigantic dickheads with inflated egos. I can't even bring myself to listen to anymore of their interviews.

Lol a swimming pool? When I was a kid, my instructor for scuba was swat and he took us to a murky FL pond to do navs and rip your mask off. Looking back though, it was good times.

During setup/downtime a couple of our guys tried making some small talk with them. They literally stood in a circle and ignored them - like refused to even acknowledge someone trying to talk to them. I don't know what that's supposed to be, but it just looked like being a bunch of dicks. |

I'll bet there is massive butthurt in Coronado right now. Congrats to those SF guys. I'm sure it's one heck of a difficult competition.
Can you imagine the shit talking going on at SOCOM HQ? |

Service branch pissing is fine for the internet, but when the NSW and the USASOC guys get together - they nearly always do good things downrange.

The young ones do come across as high strung. That said one of the coolest people I ever met was a guy who audited SEAL Teams in the late 60s-70s. Ran into him in line in a post office. He had all the right tattoos. |

Navy SEALs I've met and work with were from the 70s and 80s. Great guys, quiet and unassuming. VERY fit for their ages. I haven't met any of the newer "Hairgel Cadre" guys.

No surprise there. That school made my dad the badass that he was in Nam (also 5th SFG), and great to see they are keeping up the legacy!

Not gonna bag on the guys who didn’t win — because they’re not “losers” — but instead offer my respect to all. Any one of those competitors could kick my ass in a pool, or pond, or ocean.

My old man, 5th SFG in Vietnam, is looking down from heaven with a smile on his face.

Badassery. Too bad they have to (try to) develop with today's .gov leadership. I mean can you imagine taking orders from some of the scum bag biden/obama people?

I'm fascinated by the guys that can do the operator stuff. Best of the best. I was lucky to get away as a broken mechanic. |
