Is this your first time trying to organize a hunt with your friends as an adult adulting adultly? Because now is kind of late for an Oct hunt, and half will back out at the last minute anyway.

I try to get a pheasant hunt done every year and it actually happens about every three, because the more the cheaper but half will back out for reasons, and at least two others will back out because the increased costs of them backing out and then everyone else will too for the same, yet enhanced, excuse.

Modern schedules are fucked up. This why the greeting, "Staying busy?" grinds the fuck out of my gears. It's why stupid prevails. People stay so Gdamn busy they never have time to enjoy and ponder while their freedom swirls away down the bowl. More of everything faster and faster. Except liberty.

Here in Pennsylvania we don't have to lease property to hunt on you just ask some farmer if you can use his land they usually don't allow more than a handful of people to hunt that one time so you get a group of guys your buddies and you tell farmerbob that you and five friends are going to hunt there so if I want to call that group of friends my hunting club to make it easier for people to understand that's what I do...

One of those guys text me out of the blue with some information about hunting next year that could wait till tomorrow obviously but he was real excited about it
