So, my SO was in town between trips for a couple days this week, we went to the awesome Chinese place next door on Tuesday night to pick up some food. The manager is really cool, so we talked to her for a while. Part of the conversation was in Mandarin, so I kept up the best I could (so, like, not much at all  ).Anyway, we get back to the house and turns out the manager gave us a free container of those yummy Chinese fried peanuts. My SO tells me, "She told me these are for you, because you drink a lot and you can snack on them when you drink."  Honestly I wasn't sure if I should be grateful or offended. 
LMAO Grateful! Other cultures aren't as sensitive as we are. I know a guy who drinks and his Spanish wife calls him mi borracho. (My little drunk)

Crown the roads? Nah, it don't rain much. Fuck auto ins adjusters anyway. We'll put the center of the line of fall here in the middle of I-35, right after the bridge, at the 18th W and Southwest ave exit. The sudden 8" deep puddle will help wake up sleepy drivers.
Ditches? Well, we can do a shallow depression. The excess can just sort of casually waft across your driveway in a spreading pool sort of way. |

Two primary things Oklahoma seems to disregard, in the 7 years Iv'e been here.
1. Parking 2. Drainage They build huge venues in the middle of T-town and everyone has to hike a mile, because there's no fucking parking. Many office buildings actually pay for a security officer to drive a transit van or short bus because the nearest parking is 9 blocks away and is full by 0650. Half the staff at One Technology Center (Tulsa City Hall) parks in a lot across the street from the Performing Arts center, and there was an article in the paper last year about it was a wasted space and they should build a strip mall there instead. Total dumb. Epic derp. Don't know why no one comes downtown, Why don't they fucking teleport like civilized beings? Parking schmarking...pfffft. |

Kemper in KC and BOK in Tulsa are identical sized venues. 19,500 seats. Kemper is surrounded by acres of parking and vacant lots. the BOK is sandwiched between third and first on Denver, between the sheriff and the courts, and you have to hike forever from the nearest parking. It's fucking OK. You couldn't find any flat ground to build a venue better than the middle of downtown, with some fucking parking space? WTF?
