Another vote for S&W 5906.

American designed, American made goodness.  Solid stainless steel.  It's a heavy beast.
Little scratch or rub mark?  No problem.  Just take a green Scotchbrite pad and buff out the scratch.

It meets half of my requirements.  I only do hammer fired metal frames.

I love my BHPs and 92A1.

ETA:  I have a P89.  It's clunky, but it's a trustworthy tank of a handgun.

I have a C2 and P also, just no pics handy..

I also have a P DUO with the new threaded barrel option and an XL on order.

Don't think the C2 is a keeper though.

Isn't the OG 9mm Luger pistol the Luger?

I'd recommend a CZ Shadow to the OP.

I've considered acquiring one of these, EAA Witness Elite Match in 10mm(you can swap caliber conversions on these)... it's a beauty IMO

only thing holding me back is I think it's 40 oz's before you stuff 16 rounds of 10mil in it..

I have a limited-run Witness Pro, which was the Stock I upper on a railed DA/SA frame.  I absolutely love it.  There are a bunch of aftermarket parts from a few places, but not all the trigger/fire control parts are compatible with CZ parts so you gotta make sure you're getting Witness/Tanfoglio-specific parts, which isn't hard to do.

Yes, it is a heavy bitch , but knowing I have 15 rounds of 200gr XTP at 1250fps on my hip makes it worth it.

The weight isn't noticeable, polymer is only a cost saving material.

I can carry a Shadow 2 all day and it feels no different than any other pistol on my hip.
