A whopping 690 firearms were turned in during a gun buyback event over the weekend in San Jose.
Participants received Target gift cards – and cold, hard cash once the gift cards ran out – in exchange for unwanted guns. View Quote More pictures and video at link. |

There is ALWAYS a Ruger pistol. It's like a rule or something.

Wait outside of one of those damn things and offer to buy for 101 dollars, you'd get lots of takers

I don't mind people selling unused guns.
I hate that the government is going to destroy them. |
|
If you're willing to give up a gun for a target gift card, then I'm happy. I don't want someone with those brain cells and an AK.

And this is the state that wants to secede from the USA? Wouldn't last a year before all hell broke loose.

It's a good thing they got those assault muzzleloaders off the streets.
Damn stray round balls flying around killing people all the time. |

I hope the idiot who turned in the Norinco .223 finds out what it is worth, and feels bad about it for the rest of their life.

Not sure what it is, but it isnt an M-16. If you look at the magazine, it is the mag well, there is no release on the side and the front pin looks weird

What type of M16 is that in the 2nd pic? Lower looks weird. Almost every part of it isn't "right." Looks a lot like a .22 I used to have. If memory serves it was a Yeager AP-74 looked like an m-16 / ar-15 from a distance. It was a 10 end mag fed. .22 mag went in to what looked like a regular mag sticking out. It was accurate, but was a jam o matic |

Those "buybacks" provide a convenient way to cash in on STOLEN firearms. At taxpayer expense, so that the politicians can pretend they are helping, because of feelz The news said they run the serial numbers and if any are stolen they work to return them to the rightfull owners. If that is true it might be a win based on the cost paid to recover it for the owner. I'd like to see the follow up story. |
|
Totally fucked. Most are stolen, and no effort will be made to return these to their owners. |
|
one of those actually has a shoulder thing that goes up! The feather .22!
Barrel shroud, duh. |

I really want to start a gofund me or similar to fund a gun buy back, use liberals cash to buy guns, then sell them legally/ return verified stolen ones with the assistance of an FFL. Maybe use the proceeds to donate the the NRA legal fund.
If anyone wants to run with that idea, all I want in return is any early 1911s that show up. |

I need to find some if these buybacks here in VA and score some good deals. I could have had a 1911 and a new 870 for 220 bucks.
