I'll bet you've not read or watched anything from the above, and if you did you'd likely read it looking for ways to refute it, instead of looking to see what it said, and than go to see if it's true. If you had learned something, you'll know that both times the 14th was proposed, it never even managed to get legally offered, and that the second time around, when it theoretically was "ratified" it was at literal bayonet point, as a condition of being allowed to have non-military governments again. It looks horribly bad to be arguing for the veracity of extorting "law" by force and under extreme duress because ... well, it is. But I'll read what youv'e posted, because I'd rather know the truth, not what suits my desires. ETA: skimmed it. Will re-read more closely later. As far as the supposed ratification of that amendment, it simply says it happened. It does not go into the facts of what happened both times it was proposed, much less the second time (unless you want to count "this state approved this year"). Go look for sources that talk about that topic. From the original sources, preferably with citations that are ones you can look up and verify yourself. You will be surprised at what you find and I expect you won't like it. Hint: look at what I posted. Go ahead and refuse to believe them, but check the citations and sources. News is reporting the shooter joined the Army in 2008 and was separated 3 months later.
"Mauricio Garcia entered the regular Army in June 2008; he was terminated three months later without completing initial entry training. He was not awarded a military occupational specialty. He had no deployments or awards. We do not provide characterization of discharge for any soldier," said Heather J. Hagan, the U.S. Army public affairs spokeswoman. I'm reading another one of his notebook scans and he has said he loved two of the female nurses he had after a work injury at UPS. Literally that he loves them and then hates them within a day if the dates are right.
