She comes from an upper middle class home, she is living proof that through capitalism you can rise above the life you were born into. Given that, and her message that only through socialism can you get a fair shake, how is she any different than the limosine liberal she defeated?
This is a case of bias, both racism and ageism. She was chosen because she was young and Peurto Rican. She could have been running on a platform of demanding all whites being executed for crimes against humanity and won. As long as conditions are tolerable, NYC votes for style over substance. |
