Amazon is worried about climate change and yet they will ship me 1 tube of shaving creme in a tree murdering box and have it arrive at my front door in 2 days.
That carbon foot print is fucking HUGE! |

Sounds like a bunch of corporate doublespeak. Amazon was a great business idea and they do a good job of delivering products to customers quickly but they should shut up and stay out of politics. A lot of things in the list below are great ways for a big business to use the power of government to hurt smaller competitors. View Quote SJW branding is a distraction from America returning to a more historically natural state. Less upward mobility, less elite accountability, no free resources lying around for the homesteading. Petit-elites run usury on peasants. Greater elites throw them to the wolves whenever the peasants revolt. |

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that, without having read the whole thread, I will not be the first person to say FUCK AMAZON! Amirite?

These new "positions" would be more appropriate for Amazon's list. https://img.memecdn.com/welcome-to-the-rice-fields_o_1220796.gif https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/696/greta_jpg-1122413.JPG https://w.ndtvimg.com/elc/2017/06/20190724/child-labour11.jpg View Quote |

https://www.aboutamazon.com/our-company/our-positions The federal minimum wage in the U.S. is too low and should be raised That's fucking lame. Human-induced climate change is real, serious, and action is needed from the public and private sectors You shouldn't be a shithead and pollute, but I don't want more government regulations to "fix" what is essentially a theory. And even so, China, India, and Africa are way worse offenders. We're pretty good. The energy industry should have access to the same technologies as other industries. Don't know what that means. Diversity and inclusion are good for business—and more fundamentally—simply right. Not discriminating against people for race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality is morally right, but it shouldn't be enshrined in law. I can meet them somewhere in the middle. I don't believe in diversity quotas. That's morally wrong. The rights of LGBTQ+ people must be protected They already are. We strongly support the rights of immigrants and immigration reform Go fuck yourself, Bezos. Governments should work quickly to put in place a regulatory framework for facial recognition technology. Absolutely fuck yes. That's a Pandora's box of absolute fucking nightmares. Counterfeiters should receive stronger penalties under federal law. Uh. Sure. Whatever. Consumer data privacy should be protected under federal law. Sure. Whatever. Corporate tax codes should incentivize investment in the economy and job creation Corporate tax rate should be 0%. What is the + for in "LGBTQ+ people"?

Because... The left started this shit by boycotting and badmouthing businesses that don't fit the mold of their progressive utopia, like gun manufacturers and such. They're ramming their politics down businesses' throats just as they are our own, and the marketing folks - probably understandably - promote whoever squeals loudest and longest. Business is effectively being forced to take a stand... and we, with our own boycotts and bans, are just as complicit as the left. Social engineering... how does it work? Well fair point, but I didn't create this world- I just live here. My own personal boycott is not about forcing them to take a stand. It's simply a reaction to the stand they've taken. When a company does come out and take political stances that are antithetical to my own I will not do business with them if i can possibly avoid doing so. Why does a company have political positions? I don't know or care what John Deere thinks about the climate, or gender.
Anyway, fuck Amazon. I'm glad I canceled Prime and buy elsewhere. I've beaten their prices, consistently, and their delivery has become a cluster. I truly hope they fail, even if it's unlikely, I hope they ruin their success and fail. |

I am not sure which of their positions is the most ridiculous.
