Easy to move around, shift to the top of the can, or replace when the can is empty and I'm filling it up with something else.

LOL, I was too. I remember when they came out with the woodgrain labels. I STILL have stuff around here with those woodgrain labels on it.

DYMO was the brand. I still have one around here somewhere.

I'm shocked! My DYMO labels always curled up and fell off almost immediately.

I *LOVE* my label maker.   I have used white out, paint pens every combination of tape from frog to gorilla, and everything sucks.  Either they don't stay on or they don't come off...  Cans that are going to sit now just get the TZ tape, the ones that are more temporary get a bit of clear packing tape first under the TZ tape to help it peel....

Good idea. I would be hesitant to semi-permanently mark the cans, and use tape, but the magnets seems even better since stuff gets shifted around.

If you're going with tape the green tape is 10x easier to read.

It’s not rich, it’s timing. Buy when prices get low. It will again. Be prepared when.

I used post-it notes.  Now they are all piled up in bottom of the ammo safe.  I have no idea what is in those cans lol. Every time I go thru 30 cans sometimes to find what I'm looking for.  Started labeling like you but haven't done all of them yet just the first layer of 30 or 40 cans.

I use one of These.

They can make labels with 1" high horizontal characters. I decided to just number the cans, and keep a spreadsheet of what's in the numbered cans. (Some cans have multiple manufacturers in them, but same caliber) So, each can has a big label. Easy to read. They are stored in numerical order on the industrial shelving. Works for me. The labels are very sticky. Never had one come off. They're vinyl, I think.

Anytime I hear label maker I still think of these things:

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wQi65eCgfLY/UDC4IGlnbHI/AAAAAAAACEE/nJb27VHcgvA/s1600/dymo2.jpg

They sucked but I was totally fascinated with them in the 70's.
