Whoever said many people are just storing ammo for other people is probably right. But some people obviously feel they need a reserve, either to hedge against future high prices (or non-availability), or for some kind of future SHTF conflict. And both reasons are probably valid to one degree or another.
That said, in most cases survivors will be dealing with it when those people pass on. For me, if there is ever a complete ban on guns or ammo, I'm going to have a hell of a range day burning up ammo and barrels. |

Couple thousand of 556 and 762x39. Prolly 500 300 blk. 2000 9mm. Prolly 500 each for 45 and 357. Untold thousands of 22LR. Honestly no idea.
TLDR: not enuff. |

~10k rounds of 22 rf...(a lot bought before the shortage)
5k-6k of 5.56 ~2k of 7.62x51 500 rounds each of 45 acp and 9 mm. I reload, so hare a fair amount of reloading components for all of those. |
