You should have been in the wolf trapping thread. A guy snapped a picture with himself with a trapped wolf and arfcommers lost their minds over it.

Years ago my friend put his dog out if it's misery with a shotgun blast to the head. I couldn't do the same but he felt like he needed to be the one to take care of it.

Declawing cats (amputating their toes) alters their physiology and the way their foot touches the ground and can cause pain for them when walking such as if you were wearing a pair of uncomfortable shoes it can also cause them back pain. It also makes them less likely use a litterbox, more likely to bite, and several other complications. Cats use their claws for a variety of important activities including playing, stretching their muscles, etc

We had a declawed family cat when I was a kid and I'd never do it one of my cats. Just cut their nails regularly and make sure to provide them with scratching posts. I never have an issue with my cats.

Dogs and cats have developed a symbiotic relationship with humans over thousands of years and I do believe they should be treated humanely and with respect

I remember quite a few on here had no issue with someone drowning a bag full of kittens in a thread a year or so back and anyone who said anything against it was labeled a "commie PETA loving socialist soy lover." Same with other threads about someone kicking and abusing dogs. You'll get people who say "they're just property, mind your own business."

The absolutism here is quite ridiculous. I stand against abuse of dogs and cats. I also eat meat. I also am not against hunting. But if caring for dogs and cats makes me a PETA person then so be it

I can remember at least 6 cats we had in the house when I was growing up (4 at once was the most) . All of them were declawed. All of them went outside, slept inside. Most still brought birds and mice back to the door. They all used the litter box. And they all lived a long time except for one that was ran over by a neighbor.

Kinda curious how many folks have ever sat in on a cat declawing procedure?

I still would have it done in a heartbeat if I was going to keep a cat in the house.

Meh I wouldn't want to watch how bratwurst is made, but that won't stop me from eating it.

IF I were going to get another cat, it would be declawed like my last one. Which showed absolutely none of the physiological signs or pain that many claim happens with the procedure.

But, after my kitty passed around Xmas 2017, I realized that I really didn't enjoy having a box of shit in the house all the time. So, no more cats for me.

Yep watch all the people who cheer on the animals when a hunter gets killed.

Or African hunting... my God these people think that hunting Africa is like hunting the semi-tame animals they see at the zoo.

This is my Kitty Kitty.  She showed up as a stray kitten.  I subsequently had her spayed and declawed.  I wouldn’t have kept her otherwise.

Yeah but coyotes kill domestic pets so no fucks given. A coyote got a cat i had so Coyote got it with a crossbow and no one was the wiser. Not even sure if it was the same Coyote points the same.

A quick clean kill is far different then the people who get their jollies torturing and killing for no reason especially a domestic animal. I wouldnt put a kill on the internet either everyone knows what a dead dear looks like anyways so not like impressing anyone. Now someone bags a bigfoot post it up thats worth it.

I am against people torturing and killing for no reason other then it was there for my amusement and that makes me PETA then so be it.

Just because some people here like animals and don't catch a raging hardon at the thought of killing one doesn't mean they're PETA. Shocking , isn't it? I've had to kill before and didn't particularly enjoy it, there's something wrong with people who do imo.

Except when a Pa trooper shot a bear in the head 3 times while it howled in agony.
He was trying to put it out of it's misery but the bears brain is so small the 223 rds where hitting the skull but not killing the bear.
The bear had both back legs broken or a spinal injury, it was hit by a car at about 10 at night.

A hunter finally pulled up , saw what was going on and asked the trooper if he could finish it, he shot the bear in the head with a 12 ga slug, that did it.
