Just watching / listening to that clip, it was very obvious that it was just chatter between to good friends.
After all, chatter between drivers and their crews, especially spotters, is a very personal thing. The driver is literally putting his life in the spotters hands and his judgement calls. Sure this is 'only' a video game, but its pretty real, and very possible to get totally immersed in it. IIRC, his spotter is not black, either. So he should have called him 'honkey' ? Has the spotter voice an opinion /explanation of the incident.? Of course, the correct way to use the N-word is covered in several videos. Google 'How a White Man says the N-Word to a Black Man ' for a good illustration of ghetto-speak. |
