Hello guys , greeting from southern Siberia,.aka northern maine and the town of Presque Isle.
This shit hole is so dinky that the locals think bonanza steak house is high dinning!! I shit you not , my wife and I walked into bonanza and walked right back out the place stinked so bad ! For those that don't know , I'm a 40 something medically retired guy that got his FFL, and now does fun shows to stay active and keep my wife from killing my miserable ass ! Know for those that do know me , I have no ruger magazines. I sell no clips , just clipazines, and freedom feeding devices!! Fuck all fudds and fuddy duddy bubbas and there ( CLIPS ) !! If any arfcomm guys stop buy we are in the basement with 2 tables chocked full of mags. We are staying at the hotel , and this place sucks , but the wife didn't want to commute !! I miss my home already !!! |

One of the things that drives me nuts about the shows up here .
There's a guy from down east that sets up at most the shows. He's a.real drama queen and batches how bad things are . Thing is is mostly at other people's tables bull shitting and not even trying to sell his own shit!!! I swear , most if these guys are a fucking joke !! |
|
@Gunwritr
Be careful not to hurt my sensitive feelz , or I'll call Jeff zimba up and have him come smack your peepee !! Dave , BTW how's the wife doing these days?? Hope both you guys are doing good in that God awful flat land !!! Do you still miss maine ? Every time I take the wife to Young's Lobster Pound I always think of you |

The county can be brutal!!
Talked with a few guys "up north" this morning on ham radio.. Madawaska---15 below with 42 inches on deck! Fort Kent was minus 19! I'm "downeast" on the coast near Canada. We have ~ 8 inches on the ground but have only seen a couple nights below zero. Look at the bright side... The days are getting longer.. The sun's higher in the sky.. Soon we'll be blessed with tourists, mosquitoes, blackflys and other summer complaints..LOL |

View Quote Yes........joking!! Wish I was back in Maine, just jealous! We were filming TV this past December in NH, was hoping to sneak across the border.....I got within spitting distance.......but didn't make it. Hope to visit this summer if things work out.......need to wander around the Mid-Coast region and eat some sea food.......(that entire food group they do not have here in Kansas.......ugh!!) It is pretty.........sparse........that far North.....I can remember when Bonanza was considered fine dining in Rockland in the 70s.......LOL |

Both were good , Augusta was way better . Every one tells me this show is great, but I will know better tomorrow. Most shows I do 90 % + my business on Saturday. If the show is slow we'll head out early on Sunday besides we got another storm coming up and I want to get home before the snow hits. So how do you like your Lobster at Young's Lobster Pound steamed sauteed in butter sauteed in garlic with or without potato salad? |

LOL I stopped going to the PI show years ago. I need to move a few 74 mags, but I'm going to slap them on GB.
I have not seen a damn thing worth buying at either the PI show or the Houlton show in a few years. When you leave take some snow with you. |

Presque Isle? I didn't think the Amish owned guns. View Quote Maybe if the shows not to good I can moonlight and turn the moka wagon into a Yoder totter and make trips back and forth to Walmart!! |

My wife took a good job up at Northern Light healthcare and lives in Limestone. I'm holding down the fort here on the island (midcoast) Some weekends I get up there and others she gets down here. The difference in winter snow and temps are rather drastic this year. Every storm we get here starts as snow and turns to rain. Limestone has whites outs and is at 150 inches already and another storm coming Monday. The county is an interesting place though.

Everyone knows that the high class dining in Presque Isle is at Governors restaurant, not Bonanza.

Listen here mister, you want something better to eat, when you head south, go to Grammys in Linneus, just south of Houlton.
You’re welcome. |

I'm still devastated that Bob Cousins, Cap'n Nemo's bar in Bass Harbor burned down and he never rebuilt it.
Only place on the island where I could hang out with the locals. The food sucked but the beer was good. Live in Michigan but want to live in Maine. |

That would truly bring Maine back to the way it ought to be. |
