Just kidding. I got about 2000pts of Imperial Guard:

Did not realize there were any 40k fans on here. I can post some more pics of my Tallarn force if anyone wants to see.
Assuming that they're not My Little Pony themed, why would we not want to see them?  Post that shit up pronto.

Start Ravenor then, it pretty much takes off a few years later with Gideon instead of Eisenhorn.

the Ian Watson books are pretty good to, he did some of the early ones.  the third book does not have the best reviews I am somewhere in the second book.

Draco (Inquisition War Trilogy)
Harlequin (Inquisition War Trilogy)
Chaos Child (The Inquisition War Trilogy, Book 3)

ravenor as previously mentionted supposed to be really good too.

So new rumors abound.

With the Timeline movement and Story Progression, It looks like another Primarch is coming.

Dark Angels Codex and Lion El Jonson, December 9th.

True or not who knows, but when is the next Loyalist Primarch coming back?

Despite being broke, that might really tempt me to come back into the 40k fold.  I used to be a big tau, wolves, and angels player.  Hell, my Angels got me a mention in the Eye of Terror campaign white dwarf notes.   Mostly because my Demolisher cannon scatter rolls went from hitting the Chaos command squad to directly between 2 rhinos full of wolves and killed them all.  Dice hated me that game.

But I also forced Necrons to phase out on turn one.  Solid 6 rolls for a lascannon on monolith with the army around it.  Exploded and enough deaths to trigger the mandatory phase out.  That friend of mine was PISSED since he set up that army specifically to fight my heavy weapons based DA army.

Every now and then I'll find myself up at 4 AM doing a deep dive into the lore on the wiki, then wonder what I'm doing, go to bed, and have strange Warhammer dreams, and forget about the whole thing. Then I'll be back doing it one night like 8 months later.

I don't even play Warhammer so I can't explain it.

Check out some of the new box sets if you want to come in at a lower price point.  Deathwatch, Betrayal at Calth, Shadow War or even Blood Bowl.  Necromunda is coming back as well with pre-orders on 11-Nov I think.

Those get you a self contained game, but also come with enough models to start a decent army at low points for some quick games.  Plethora of smaller boxed sets here.

Or if you want to get into the game proper, eBay is a good spot for individual bitz and models to start up with.

I've got most of the box sets and still haven't unboxed or played due to time.  Same with all the guns and ammo I've been stacking.  Goddamn job.

I'm going to be THE dude to hang out with at the retirement community though.  I'll have all the cool shit.

Point of order:

The MKII-A "Servoticus" pattern Dreadnought isn't new, it's a relic that was modified by Belisarius Cawl.  The large armorglass globe is to contain the now-unleashed soul of Sanguinius.  I'm still surprised the Bangles didn't stick wings on it, but give them a few hundred years and it will happen.

I'm also surprised GW went in this direction when everyone was expecting the Lion or Russ.

Got a little free time and managed to put some work into my first models.  Still much to do with edge highlights, a frost axe, and Bjorn's pelts but feels like a good start so far.  Now for a Start Collecting box to come in and I may have the real beginnings of a detachment that I can play with.  Plastic crack indeed!

That's why all miniature painters view him as their Spiritual Liege.

In other news, Games Workshop got 100k likes on their Facebook page and decided to release a new miniature.

Presenting Trajann Valoris, Captain-General of the Custodian Guard.  His character was recently introduced in Watchers of the Throne and if his tabletop version is anything like he was in the book he will be a powerhouse second only to the Primarchs.

Wargame Exclusive (some nsfw figures on their site as a heads up) has some awesome models that I'd add to my army if I still played 40k.  They are an independant sculpting and casting house in the UK that brings guys on to make stuff.  A lot is normal 40k, but the pin up version of Saint Celestine or female commissars are definately not able to be posted here.

Hell, everyone got pissed over their female Cypher, although I know in 40k women can't be marines.  But some of their sculpts like the Confessor could teach GW a few things IMO.  Hell, I'd love to get a few packs of their Confessor helmets for a Chaplain bodyguard squad.  Basically they are full Immortan Joe helmet, hooded, and facemask style.

Kromlech and Puppets War are another two good ones.  If I played Orcs, I'd be all over the WWII themed Kromlech conversion models and parts.  Puppets War is largely just conversion parts, but again I like their helmets.
