Only bullpup I've found so far I like. Probably a better all around platform than an AR. |

Was not overly impressed by the aug I shot a while back. Maybe it was how it was setup. Maybe I just thought it was ghey.
... Yeah, pretty ghey ... |

I had the microtech copy. It shot great but I could never get comfortable with it.

Got one on my wish list. Maybe someday if I can save a little money for more than a few days.
I have spent over $3000 on guns this month |

While I respect the design and history, I grew up with the AR. I have so much time behind one that it would serve no purpose for me to ever try one and spend the time to master it.
Now if I had never touched an AR...... |

Plain Jane with the factory optic. Need to swap out the muzzle device for one to fit one of my suppressors that just came in that I bought in February.
Attached File @Fargo007 - I don’t know what part of Florida you are in, but there’s a dealer in Gulfport that had several white stocked ones in stock a couple of weeks ago when I was in there if you are looking for one. |

I got rid of my MSAR when they went under. I should replace it with a Steyr. Of the bullpups I've owned, it was my favorite.

I've owned many of the available bullpups.
The AUG would be a lot more interesting if it was a pound lighter and the trigger was... different. That said it's still pretty good. I liked the FS-2000 better but it's a collector item at this point. |

According to the Internet, NATO stock AUGs suck and are icky.
Awesome trigger for an AUG. Attached File The size comparison. Attached File |

Do the NATO stocks have different triggers? They have a single sided trigger bar where the original has two bars. That said, it's more of a luck of the draw as to how much drag that causes. Very similar to a striker fired pistol trigger like a Glock etc. |

Mine is Nato. I think the trigger is terrible compared to a well set up target rifle or even a nice AR trigger. But I also think it is absolutely fine for a “combat”/do whatever rifle. You can still hit what you need to with it.
For me the mags mattered. But I definitely look at things from a practical viewpoint. I realize the AUG mags are just as good. Hell they hold more. But I want no confusion over mags and I want interchangeability. |

Never held one. Honest question: I'm 6'5, close to 300 with a long torso. Would it be like holding a fisher price toy? Love the look of them

I had all the bullpups: Bushmaster M17S, AUG, Microtech’s E4, FS2000, Tavor.
I really want to like them, hence my prior ownership, but I prefer ARs. |

Quoted: I'm pretty dumb sometimes , please elaborate. Thank you. View Quote The length of pull is not ridiculously short. It is mostly the overall length that gets shortened by the bull pup design. Don’t get me wrong, I think you will find it just as I said, compact, but not ridiculous. Just tuck that chicken wing in and embrace it. Edit: just read LOP is 15” |

View Quote Excellent setup. One of the best I've seen of using the receiver rail for the WML. |

View Quote On the AUG on the right, is that Dead Air flash hider a old style thread 13x1lh, or the new 1/2x28? Looks great. My barrels are the older thread pitch, and i've been debating getting one of the DA flash hiders for it, as its one of the only aftermarket FH in 13x1. |

Quoted: Excellent setup. One of the best I've seen of using the receiver rail for the WML. View Quote It works pretty well, bit I had to do some improvising to get there. Ended up with the now discontinued Midwest industries M-Lok side rail, a Surefire, Dual Fuel Scout pro body, and a Modlight head. I wish Steyr would release the angled side rail they teased a while back. It would certainly make things easier. |

Quoted: No, but there really should be. Or Umarex should make a .22lr version - I think that would sell well. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Is there a good .22 conversion kit for these? No, but there really should be. Or Umarex should make a .22lr version - I think that would sell well. What a bummer. One of the things which I love most about the ar llatform is the .22 conversion options. I'll hold off on an Aug for now. |

I'm 6'3" with long arms and the AUG feels just about right. Same with the VHS-2, and everyone bitches about the long LOP on it. Thefunny thing is that, with an AR, I hate the A2 stock and tend to keep telescoping stocks around the second notch, maybe the third. Maybe I'm unconsciously trying to bring the center of gravity closer, which bullpups naturally do. |
