I'm glad this turned into a beitodesstrafe shitpost thread. It makes me feel like everything is right with the world and now I can sleep
soundly. @beitodesstrafe |

Quoted: Still the easiest time to be alive yet. View Quote Yeah. It's never been so easy to make sure you have adequate (or even excessive) food, water, shelter, and even what would be some mild luxuries in the past. While this virus is a bit nasty, esp. for older and sicker people, disease is nothing new. Our treatments have come a long way since consumption ravaged the nation. |

I was expecting zombies .
But, in the past couple of days my 401k got back like 10k out of the 40 plus I lost in a week, so that's good. But 2020 is turning out to be a shit show of a year for sure. |
|
|
I have had several life threatening health situations over the last 8 years. I would not say that I do not give a fuck. I am more aware that there are things that will happen outside of my immediate control.
Chin up arfcom. Oh yea, now I wake up at ~1:30 just about every night. |

Some of us are in roles that don't allow the luxury of self-indulgence.
So yeah, I still give a fuck. |

Let me see. Things that happened to my family in 2015.
1. Jan. Received a 2nd degree chemical burn on my back from dry cleaners. 2. April .Daughter fell and fractured her skull, spent a week in children's hospital and had surgery to draw out a piece that was depressed one c.m. 3. May. Found out my wife had breast cancer and she has a double mastectomy. July. Totalled my car driving to work, due to age only had liability. They gave me a $400 ticket also. Dec. Wife has Reconstructive surgery. Dec. Tore a ligament in my shoulder that still bothers me. Wife and daughter both met their health ins deductible so many thousands out of pocket. This year hasn't been so bad IMO. |

Quoted: I've never been home this much as an adult View Quote Sounds like somebody got voted "non-essential." I have the opposite problem. I support production of medical and security equipment, so I get to go in every freakin' day. It's pretty annoying to see the parking lot half full because the ancillary departments get to stay home. Not me though. |
|
I'm with you, OP.
Been that way for a couple years now. I do not give any actual fucks anymore. As Jim Morrison once said: "I tell ya, I don't know what's gonna happen, but I just want to get my kicks in before the whole shithouse goes up in flames." And I've already gotten most of my kicks in, too, which is a plus. My blood pressure is a lot easier to control now that I no longer give any actual fucks, and could not care less if the earth is smacked by a giant asteroid (I just hope it hits California or New York to kill them first). |

Been working on it for a few years now. It feels so much better when you can laugh and shrug off the various calamities throughout the world. Dumbasses....

It's pretty much business as usual in this area. Go into the nearest "city" and its scared sheeple.

Quoted: I've never been home this much as an adult View Quote I work from home, so having the wife/kids around is cramping my style. Although poking my head into my wife's office (aka the junk room) while she's VTCing with her students and shouting "DO THEY KNOW YOU AREN'T WEARING ANY PANTS?" has been fun. |
|
We are all gonna die.
The real question is where will you and your loved ones spend eternity. One way is real hope the other despair. Here's hoping you find hope...and peace. A person really needs to ration the despair not helpful for you or others you are responsible for. Spend at least as much time reading about hope as you do despair to neutralize the effects. The media wants us in despair it's better for their agenda and the immune system is depressed when we are. |

Quoted: You guys have actually been better behaved than I thought so far. I'm barely through week two trapped at home and school lecturing barely lasted two hours and my kids were running barefoot around the muddy front yard and I was shooting empty beer cans out of my son's wiffle ball launcher and cracking them with a bat. My wife came home (she still has to go to work) and lectured me on how I was doing the dishes wrong, we proceeded to a detailed discussion of who is responsible for the most spilled drinks in the frig, circled back to pick up on a few old arguments from our winter vacation and she gave me detailed instructions on what school work she thinks I should cover with our children who are still learning to add and read, I decided to not point out that I have a doctorate and could probably handle "Run Spot Run" on my own. Then I went to bed and had a dream that I was Superman arguing with Batman that I was suspicious he had kryptonite under his cowl..... View Quote |

I don’t care. We are all going to die one way or another. With this virus, it doesn’t mean I am not taking reasonable precautions, but at the same time I am not going to live in fear and let it consume me. Worrying isn’t going to change the end result, whatever happens will happen and if things get bad I will deal with it then.

We are all healthy at home like always so no complaints.
Food and booze is stocked so I can sit here on our 50 acres until at least end of April first of May. Hell I am just waiting for NYC to tear itself apart. |
