Nope. I've converted my entire close family. Some of my other relatives too.

Step sister. She made a post on Facebook a couple of weeks ago about joining the NRA to help "bring it down". I "de friended" her.

Two little sisters & one little brother all raised in SoCal and all 2nd amendment supporters. One sister wants to get her CCW. She lives in Fort Lauderdale now. She'll be in town at the end of the month & we're going to demo some of my collection to see which 9mm she's comfortable with.

I'm proud!

Yep. Younger sister. She also loves Hitlery and doesn't have a job. Well, unless you count part-time baby sitting at 29 years old.

My sister does not like guns at all, and she worries about me because I have guns and carry guns. She tells me to be careful. But she knows I'm carrying when I visit and she never says anything about it, other than make sure not to leave it laying around. She doesn't preach to me, she just tells me to be careful. Any time I show her a new gun she says 'scary!' She cracks me up, such a lib. I love her though, she's a great sister, just wrong on a lot of things.

My sister is one of those yoga master, hippie, pot heads so I thought she would be all anti gun but our folks raised us around guns from a very early age so shes pretty cool with them.
Even though she no longer owns any guns she once had me help her pick an AR while she was living up in the mountains and teach her how to use and maintain it.

Yup and we cut em out like the shit bags they are.  It's actually more than I'd care to admit.  Was kind of rough for a bit but the wife feels the same way I do and has since day one.

Same with me. Grew up with a typical 1950's type of Dad who taught us to shoot at a young age. She went to college, tuned into a hippie, and got liberal. I went into the Army and got, "Kill a commie for Mommy!" It was before that "Hooah!" stuff!

My sister and her husband are total greenie socialists. Her son's are too, but one wants to learn to shoot and hunt. I told him when he's 18 he can do what he wants and I can teach him.

They are my family so I love them. We just don't talk about politics or guns.

Yep, same with my brother. I honestly think he has some mental capacity issues now as well as bung a autistic fucktard. He had a few nice guns, ar10,svt40 ect but sold them when he was married to his yoga instructor wife 'who was going to Brazil to become a doctor' did I mention that he was on his third wife at 36,  yeah issues. Loves to feel the Burn, likes his dope ect.

Actually glad he has not met his nephew who is now almost 5, I really don't want him around my family.

Mine left Memphis about 20 years ago and moved to Austin TX.  He sold his guns when he divorced.
He loves to tell me how he thinks of never actually "use" my gun.  He told me this in New Orleans.
I think he has forgotten his roots and where he is from.  He also seems to forget that while he hesitated to take my father off the vent, I never faltered.

I think he has gone soft.  I'm the same sister who used to beat his ass when he fought with me as kids.

My entire family is very antigun.

My mother I can forgive. She was an ER nurse for 20 plus years and it just will never be her thing. But she respects my choices as I do her and we don't chide each other over it.

My father is a rabid, foaming at the mouth leftist liberal. MSNBC on all three house TVS all day long. His politics are in stark contrast to his feelings to me as a son and he let's me know regularly.

My one brother is a felon, armed robbery. Thinks no one should have weapons of war.

My other brother got Dishonerable discharged from the army for double AWOL. Thinks no one should have killings machines meant for death.

None of my three siblings is into guns. One owns an old .22 rifle which he uses around the farm for farm type stuff and has probably used for target shooting occasionally. One seems neutral on the topic but doesn't own guns and probably never will. The third is a total liberal who makes snide comments about my gun interests from time to time but generally doesn't push it too far. I do my best to avoid the topic and try not to take his bait. He's never going to change his mind so why make our rare family get-togethers unpleasant?

My sister and her husband have turned into 100% liberals and it has put a huge crimp on our friendship.

I used to regard them as friends, but I don't anymore.

Not because they're liberals, but because they're not friendly anymore because they're liberals.

Now I have these two liberal English majors pretending that I'm a moron because I'm a conservative and a gun owner.

After I recently asked my sister who is super anti-gun “so how are you or your husband going to protect your family if some nut job(s) breaks in to your house in the middle of the night and tries to rob you, kill you, or worse?”

This was her response “We protect ourselves by living in a nice neighborhood, having nice neighbors who keep an eye on things, we always lock our doors, and we don’t do drugs.  We don’t have to worry about people breaking in, that doesn’t happen to people like us.  We live in a safe area”.

I think I felt my brain melting and starting to drip out of one of my ears…….. I can’t believe that there are people in this world that are so clueless and out of touch with reality……but sadly, I know several people like that.   They have no physical means of ensuring their safety….just happy, rainbow, puffy white cloud happy thoughts….

Yeah, I got one.  Little sister from California.  Public Defender and married to a cop.  Hates guns and had this discussion with her today.

She posted this on my facebook:
The words written into the Constition and ratified by the population of the states are quite different from the oratory of contemporary politicians. Anyway, your theory that possessing guns is for the purpose of protecting old white guys from the tyranny of a government run by women and brown people is ludicrous. When you declare war against Obama or Clinton, they will reduce you to a pink mist from their computers in Antarctica--despite your arsenal of pea-shooters. You won't even know you are not among us anymore. Poof! One less old white guy who spends his time trying to make everybody else in the world as miserable as he is.

My reply
Constitution is probably the word you were trying to spell. You don't seem to know how to spell it any better than you seem to know what it means. I would expect better of someone who spent their life practicing Law.

Tell me more about this secret base in Antarctica. The one with the death ray computers. Are they covered under the second amendment? Do I need a background check to buy one and can they be purchased at computer shows? Hopefully they run on Windows 10 and not Mac. Mac is so left wing. One question begs to be answered. Why didn't the current admin use that wonderful computer to save the poor guys at Benghazi?

You seem to be fixated on old pot bellied white guys. Could this be some deep seated Daddy issues? Upset because Daddy wouldn't support a lifestyle he didn't agree with?

Take your meds and get some rest. Thinking seems to be too hard for you.

Yes, and last week I caught my sister in a lie on Facebook.

"I'm not anti-gun, I actually have a carry permit, BUT....."

Had to call her out in the response section, she does NOT have a permit.  Total bullshit.

My mother is anti-gun and convinced that I own illegal machine guns (cause they got rat-a-tat-a-tat from the hip).  She refuses to go to the range to try one for herself.  If she knew how many guns my father owned she'd have a fit

I've given my brother a few guns and he seems to be on board.  He just bought a G34 to get into pistol shoots.

LOL no.  My brother may or may not have been responsible for nuclear weapons, and he definitely likes firearms of all kinds.
