I dunno. I don't care about drones, so it's hard for me to judge.

There was a drone hovering around our house for about 20 minutes on the 4th because apparently some people were doing some fireworks. Not me, some other people.

Anyways, my neighbors were pissed off about it. I wasn't. Who cares? I asked them if they were pissed off about people driving by and watching the fireworks in their cars. They weren't. I asked them if it was the altitude of the watchers, and they said yes. I asked them if the people in SUVs bothered them more than the people in sedans. They said no. Then I asked about the difference in altitude between sedans and Suburbans. They had no answer, so someone quit fucking with them and went and lit more fireworks.

Not me, someone else.

I'm having problems too OP. There have been several people come down my dead end gravel road, park on my property, and start walking around the lake with their phone in their face.  I need a longer extension cord...

Supposedly there is though i dont know how or if it works reliably. My understanding is that if you install the program (with the intent of determining if the fake creatures are near you) then that itself will spawn the creatures near you - so dont do that. No trespassing signs and call the cops should work for the time being though.

LOL, I love GD, because someone will always take it to the extreme. I'm not mad at you, by the way, I'm happy that you posted that.

Adding a little hyperbole to the story spices it up and makes an ordinary situation more humorous. Yes, I was using a circular saw. Yes, I was using a 100 foot extension cord on a spool. Yes, there was a kid looking for a pokegon creature in my creek  As he explained while I escorted him, water creatures are rare or special or something. He was respectful and polite, and I let him go get it.

So, the part about him sizing me up and seeing if he could get to the gate was hyperbole. It was funny, and I think that most people got that, and I feel sorry for you and those that didn't.

That would be about the only way to do it.  If they're already spawning there then there's enough cell traffic already to cause server spawns so removing them in game would be the only option.  Some of you all might want to start building up your pokeball throwing skills

I told him to get the fuck out of my yard. He told me it's not even in my yard, it's in the woods in the creek behind it. I told him I own that creek and those woods. Go up to him with your AR and ask what the hell he is doing pacing back and forth in front of your house. He says he is playing this game give him two minutes to run while you call the cops and then after that he is fair game.

It really doesn't work that way. Spawns are generated around players. Additionally there are points of interest, almost exclusively monuments, churches, and public buildings. These points of interest were all populated by Ingress players, so unless you had even nerdier AR gamers snooping around before, you don't have one of them.

Whatever popped up in your yard popped up as a result of being seeded by nearby players- not a function of it being your property (that said, it can generate something on your property- but it doesnt do it because it is your property, just because there was a player nearby). There is also a fairly generous distance you can reach a character from.

I caught a snorlaxx while taking a shit today.

Generally speaking stuff won't normally pop up very far from a road unless it's a park from what I have seen. My house is far off the road and I cannot get spawns at my location without a special item.
Link Posted: 7/14/2016 11:39:42 PM EDT
[#37]
It has nothing to do with your location, they are randomly generated in proximity to someone who is running the app, it's not "gone", it wasn't there until someone running the app walked by your house.  If you have active users of the app by your house they will regenerate in random locations around the user.

There is a form you can fill out that will mark your property as private.  Supposedly this will cause your property to be "off limits", dunno how fast they react to claims though.

Earlier this evening, I had a guy standing on the sidewalk in front of my house. He had his phone out, looked like he was taking pictures of my house. At first, I thought he was casing my house, or maybe my neighbor.

But when I went out to confront him, I started putting it together. He's 300 lbs, glasses thicker then an acid Becker bottom, sponge Bob yellow shirt, 2 sizes to big. Lime green shorts that draped to the middle of his shin. Light Gray crocs on with no socks, cheeto stained fingers, and skin paler than Count Dracula.

I said,"you get it?" He smiled and said, "yup!"

He then got in his, what used to be white, late 90's Toyota Turcel, with more bungee on it then a Griswold cross country road trip station wagon, and drove off.

Damn Pokémon!

http://www.kansascity.com/entertainment/article89395272.html Happening in Phx and in many other cities, some people got tickets for trespassing. Some 15 yrd old crossed traffic in Pa on the highway and was struck.  Its a real problem for the idiots out there. The other people with common sense Might have it figured out. Just when I think people could not be more stupid I get surprised.
This story has been corrected to say that Ethan Goodwin was hit with a trespassing ticket after he and his friends went on a Pokemon Go chase at an abandoned grain silo.
