Roast beef is best followed by Greek and then Turkey
Had one for lunch today they are awesome. |
|
I had a coupon and was hungry, otherwise I probably wouldn't have tried them.
Surprisingly it was pretty good. |

I agree.
When first introduced, Arby’s had a 2 for 1 gyro and I indulged. Yummy! |

I like the turkey best, and I'm not a big fan of turkey lunch meat. The seasoning goes well. Almost a souvlaki taste.

k, just ordered from Uber. lets see if OP is telling the truth or not.

I like both the turkey and traditional meat. They are not as good as a dedicated Greek restaurant, but for a fast food joint, they are pretty good. The sauce is a little different and runny, but overall a solid 7 out of 10.

Their two for $6 right now at my Arby's. With a medium seasoned curly fry (best fast food fries anywhere) it's like $9 and change. Hard to beat. We like the Greek.

I'd rather just hit the Greek place.
They have that perfect mix of beef and lamb and cook it on the spit thing |

Best Gyro I ever had was when I was stationed in Schwabach Germany. There was a small place run by Turks that slow cooked the lamb on a spit and made their own pita bread. you'd walk up to the window and place your order for a Gyro and then they had about 25 bins of different toppings you could choose from. those fucking things were to die for.
|
|
There are at least 5 other places I'm going to go to for a gyro first that are NOT Arby's.
That said, I have nothing against Arby's. Real question what brand of gyro meat? I like Olympia with Kronos second. |
|
Their Reubens are good.
Just learned on Friday, they no longer have onion rings! Arby's HAD the best onion rings, one day closer to the pockylcips! |

The greek one is the best. Notice I used a small g but it's not bad for a chain-eatery sammich.
Their rubens sorta suck but I always compare a Ruben to the ones I make myself so they all come-up way short. Their cod sammich is also pretty good. |

Greek with extra sauce.
The only other place in town that sells gyros is very good. But not at twice the money good. |
|
OP is mostly correct. The "Greek" one is the best tho
I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them. |
|

|
For fast food, they are pretty good. I've been to Greece and Turkey and I still enjoy them. I've had worse gyros from "greek" places in the states.
|
|
Without their ''sauce'' they are OK, however they don't compare to a genuine Greek restaurant.
With their sauce, they are horrid, I think they scoop up the cum from porn sets and sell it as ''gyro'' sauce as it's the nastiest shit I have ever tasted. Rancid mayo mixes with rotten eggs would be a vast improvement. I really have to ask myself, who the F do they have tasting their food and going ''this is pretty tasty, market it as a gyro sauce.'' SOB must eat horse shit mixed with month old dead fish for dinner nightly and thinks it's a feast fit for a king. |
|
I've tried them twice. Both times they were not hot enough. Lukewarm at best. Two different places. Also not nearly as good as a Greek restaurant gyro. Kind of pricey too considering I can get a decent Greek salad at a real Greek place with the gyro for the same price as Arby's.
It gets a C+ in my book. Not terrible, but why? |

Now I want Greek. We have a great little home in the wall place that is voted amongst the best in DFW (#5 on Yelp).

I've been impressed with Arbys the last couple years. The inside seating at mine is nicer than any other fast-food joint.
