If you consolidated your loans you could buy both beers with one loan.

Best to start out with two, you can build your credit paying them off with the consolidation.

@chadjetlag

this is what I found for Louisiana

LOUISIANA: The legal rate of interest is one point over the average prime rate, not to exceed 14% nor be less than 7%. Usury limit for individuals is 12%, and there is no limit for corporations. (As warned, you cannot evade the limit by forming a corporation when the loan is actually to an individual.)

Looks like if I took the loan with them, I could then bring them to court and they would have to forfeit all the interest charged.

Maybe I should do that, just to fuck with them.

GA had a yuuge problem with “payday loans” that were over 100% interest (iirc)  a lot of the companies focused on soldiers and dependopotamuses at the big bases.  Really pathetic way to do business.

Louisiana is like that too, I guess that's why we have the laws on the books now.

But it seems like no one brings the pay day loan places to court.

I guess when you fuck poor people, they don't have enough money to fight back.

I maxed out my 401k (to the IRS limit) when I made just over $15/hr...so yeah, saving for a vacation is certainly possible on lower incomes.

@jekbrown

Well my house note is $1750 and I have to pay $525 a month in insurance.

Plus I rarely make OT and if I do, it's only a few hours overtime.

There's about 173 working hours in a month, presuming you work 40 hrs/week. $2428.92 before taxes...take out fed and state income tax, and the other payroll taxes and you have less take home pay than your mortgage/insurance (let alone food, internet, phone, gas/cars (if applicable), clothes etc.) so clearly some data is missing. Drug dealer on the side or is there a second income you're not telling us about?

This wonderful opportunity is, unfortunately, not available to you NH, PA, WI, and I forget who else folks.

Available in 31 states and the rates can reach 179.99%. Sometimes an origination fee also.

That Western Sky Financial is the one I've been trying to remember. In the commercials, I'm sure I remember you hear someone beating on the drum in the background. They do the whole Indian thing.

She does, now that you mention it.

That was good stuff when Brooke Shields moved in across the street, I think it was.

I sure did like that show.

OP, don't let these negative Nancys hold you back from your dreams.

They act like the know everything about fiscal responsibility but how many of them live the cool assed lifestyle that you do? Probably none.

Saving is for suckers. Borrow every penny that you can, have a blast with it and let the debt collectors keep calling that burner phone number till they die of old age.

That’s the sort of institutional discrimination facing renters today. You shouldn’t have to own a home to be able to obtain long term debt for short term use. Offers such as this one break down those walls of bias and allow underserved communities access to opportunities previously off-limits to those not born into privilege.

Luckily there's still title loans on cars.

Dude, can you PM me the details? Been planning on proposing to my GF. With a deal like that I could get the $10,000 ring I have been looking at, plus afford a European vacation.

BRB proposing under the Eiffel tower.

Only the best for me and my filly.

Probably to distract you from the fine print.  If you do the math on that $10K loan, you have to pay them over $60,000 for it.
