Ah, man that takes me back. Early '70s we were living in CA while my dad was in training. He went on TDY and I remember waiting at the airport at night when he returned. He gave one of those to me & my brothers. It was awesome.

Used to work as floorwalker in Roses dime store over the Christmas holidays. When things were slow, I assembled the layaway toys. It was good money, but you stayed very busy.

A ballast resistor. There is one in the glove compartment all the time. I've had to replace it once in 19 yrs.

A lot of people probably don't know this, but the "K" in "K-Mart" refers to Kresge's. It was the company that K-Mart grew out of.
