Teddy bear cholla is the answer.  Lol at anyone from the north or Midwest posting shit.

You stop moving immediately if you get a cholla stuck in you.

Rose bushes seem a pretty universal answer to this.

Concertina might seem cheap after dealing with a broken vehicle or burglarized building though.

Yes.  Get the "Knockout" variety from Homedepot as they grow fast, thorns are fucking wicked compared to others. Plus they bloom all year, look great, are very fragrant and are low maintenance...

Raspberry and Blackberry bushes are pretty gnarly, plus you'll get free berries. Downside is that they'll attract bears, kinda like menstruation.

The only bears we have in OKC are OHP.

I've only dealt with trees... trimming them was brutal... any errant branches readily embed themselves in you... even find a way through leather gloves if your not careful

All of my houses I have owned/lived ground level windows get huge thorny bushes. It works wonders on funneling everyone to the front door.

Ordered.  Not sure I'll use it, but for the price it can't hurt to have around.

That will do the trick tie 3 strands off to it inside of the fence stacked one on top of the other. If it doesn’t keep the from jumping the fence, the Fire Department can cut them out in the morning.

Lots of good ideas here. I would suggest checking to make sure that whatever you plant is not considered an invasive and regulated by the state. In NY planting a species that is on the prohibited list could invite the man into your life.

Your local Extension office or Soil and Water Conservation District should be able to help.

If you've got a stick welder and some scrap metal, particularly angle iron, you could make your own artistic metal fence.  Leave it rusty so it doesn't feel good to climb on and adds tetanus as a bonus.

It might also give you a good excuse to add a cheap plasma cutter to your toolset, if you haven't already.

I saw a fence that had recycled twisted rebar welded together tied off the chain link it didn’t look bad.

I’ll second rose bushes. Plenty of variety, most with nasty thorns eventually.

Even better if you can get Cholla to grow.

Nothing says stay away from here like cholla. Especially the so cal version ( we called teddy bear when I was a kid)vs buck horn. Touch one and you were “F”ed. Better stay still and let your buddy try and get it off with a cresote branch.

Depending on how dry and cold it gets, jumping cholla.

The homeless hear in Wa doesn't seem to have any trouble with this stuff, it does NOTHING to stop them... The state hear tried some kind of rose. Again it didn't do shit, they ripped it all out and just moved right in. I don't know what it is, but there was some thorn bush that the US army planted around the old gun emplacements (I think it was some kinda African thorn bush). The stuff is NASTY. I would try that.

Pampass grass...nothing is going to try and go through it

The edges of the leaves are sharp and will cut you.

before that you would want to plant a shit load of Yuka plants that have the sharp ass points.

then behind the pampass, you want to plant black berry bushes.

So basically, Yuka, Pamapass, black berry bushes.

No body in the world is going to be able to penetrate that

First, kill off that tree of heaven, I hate that shit.  Second, something prickly, probably not berries, do you want to feed them?  Will you ever need access to that side of the building for anything?

As others have said, Trifoliate Orange.

Plant it in place of whatever is at the end of the corridor. They can grow here in OK without issue. My mother planted one here in Tulsa, OK when I was a kid. We didn't really water or keep up with it but the thing grew like the dickens and I, being the young slave labor boy received the honor of tending to it. If those idiots try to eat the fruit it produces they will be in for a bitter surprise.

Has no one suggested Osage Orange? Aren't the juvenile stems pretty thorny? That looks like a shady spot, so they won't grow up too much (become trees)?

While it is no blackberry I would also chime in with Carissa.

Hardy and gets some nice thorn action.
