I have drunk all manner of distilled spirits and enough beer to float a battleship but have never drunk an arf.
|
|
My preferred drink is Bourbon whiskey but have been on a Rye Whiskey kick lately. Rye whiskey is pretty good stuff! |

Beer and moonshine
Ommegang 3 philosophers Ommegang Rare Vos Dogfish head 90 minute ipa Founders breakfast stout Most porters PBR (it's always in the fridge) |

When I am just trying to keep a buzz through the day I'll keep a tallboy of beer close by. If drinking is frowned upon I will keep vodka in my flask and stick it in my boot. The only thing I don't like about flasking is that it is hard to tell how much I poured.
If I am trying to enjoy the night I'll drink a shot of either whiskey or vodka then chase it with beer. Do this about three times to get a nice feel going and then just stick with beer unless I need a pick me up. Then I'll do another shot. On days where I am not feeling it I just carry a bottle of whatever hard stuff is near and nurse it. Had one of those days this morning. I do enjoy Riesling wines as well. |

Jack Daniel's. Moved from beer to wine to JD, progressively less volume to drink and less dehydrating. Less calories too.

If going Gin, I choose Hendricks, really like the flavor. View Quote A lot of people say Hendricks is for people that don't like gin. I think that's a bit tarded to say but have you tried New Amsterdam? It's cheap and isn't juniper forward which is most folks turn off in my experience. |

I drink beer year around, but favor bourbons and scotch in the fall and winter.
Cheap swill or microbrews, I love them all. |
|
Racist thread is racist.....#allalcoholmatters
Vodka tonics and single malt scotch seem to be my faves lately. |
|
Whisky has been my deal lately-Eagle Rare Bourbon, Templeton Rye, Edradour Scotch.
I like beer and wine with certain foods-Pizza and cheap chinese, red wine with steak etc |
|
I drink beer mostly nowadays.
Recently tried some farmhouse ales and sours, probably my go to style right now. |
|
I like both kinds, Whisky and whiskey
Ales, stouts, porters and lagers too |
|
|
Mostly a beer man. Shiner, Abita Amber, Dos Equis, and hopefully I'll be getting back into home brewing soon.
Made some apple pie a while back with Everclear since the real stuff is hard to come by in these parts. Came out very good! Occasionally I'll have a screwdriver, a bloody mary, or a gin and tonic. |

If I'm drinking, it's beer while I cook then I switch to wine while I eat. Ernest Hemingway wrote: “Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing.” View Quote Ernest Hemingway was, with respect, mistaken. A good beer, timed for the season, is the answer the OP seeks. Or not. To each their own. Kinda getting into the red wines myself. Much to learn. |

I don't drink much beer anymore. When I do it's usually Wooden Legs Brewing. Mostly I just drink Old Crow bourbon.

Defintely beer, but I also like wine and spirits, I just don't drink them as often. Tonight I am enjoying Basil Hayden's.

You guys should really consider how much you drink.... Just kidding! Enjoying some Noir now. Used to love light beers (that was my start), moved to good craft beers, now enjoy more vino (less calories, I think), and can definitely get into some bourbon on ice. I'm 37 next month, so I've been on the tour for a minute.
Edit - fuck, I must be drunk. My birthday is in less than 3 weeks. |

I prefer dark beers, no particular brand but I'm fond of Guinness
Liquor-wise, Vodka and Rum mixes, but I've taken a liking to all alcohol mixed drink. I'll drink wine if its being served. I'm not a very sophisticated drinker. |
|
|
Hard alcohol I prefer Rum. I really like Captain Morgan and it's the only liquor I can shoot straight. I like Whiskey but I like my Whiskey like I like my steaks. Fucking Premium (I am a Butcher FWIW,) so that is very seldom. Vodka is nice but I don't drink it because it flips on my "DGAF switch."
Most times I either drink Coldsmoke, New Belgium Rampant, or Mike's Harder Lemonades (not hard, harder.) |

Volume wise:

beer, lots and lots of beer
but every once and again a screwdriver for breakfast or a jack and coke just because hit the spot i've even been persuaded to drink a few windex margaritas |
|
Beer when I'm mowing the lawn or fixing something. I prefer lagers and porters while I consider IPAs and anything with fruit in it to be the swill of hipsters and equal to a modern day Zima.
Vodka when the sun goes down because I tend to imbibe to excess and the tannins in whiskey and other barrel aged liquors gives me a wicked headache in the morning. If company is present I pour it into a martini glass and add a olive to maintain the illusion. |

I know there is ton of hate for them but I really like IPAs. Some beers I drink in no particular order, Ranger IPA, Full Sail IPA or Amber, Colorado Native, Great Divide Titan, Breckenridge Avalanche Amber, SmithWicks, Tecate , and 90 Shilling.
I rarely drink liquor but when I do it's usually regular Crown or Sailor Jerrys. |

Over 20 yr span went from Budweiser to Original Coors to recently Weihenstephenar Original, though it seems to be getting a little to hoppy for me but its the only one available. Been wanting to try the Paulaner, several styles of that around me. My bourbon is only Weller SR, sometimes Ill add a piece of charcoaled white oak to it, really smooths and brings out the flavors.

Beer and bourbon are my favorites. I'm quite a fan of rum too.

I like beer. I'm not picky about what kind, either. I like that I can have one beer and call it good, or finish off a 12 pack in an evening and not have the next day ruined.
After a few heavy drinking periods between 3 and 5 years ago, I don't like getting blasted like I used to. That is almost certainly for the best. |

Variety is the spice of life! I'm enjoying a Fernet Branca neat with a side of ginger ale on the rocks.
