Have you ever just picked up a can and looked at the info... it's not just caffeine. Those things are loaded with carbs/sugar... Looking at Amazon. 1, 8.4oz can of regular Red Bull 110 calories 27gr of Sugar 150mg of Sodium 8 ounces? How many do you drink a day? If you go by the "food chart" we were all spoon fed in school, the recommended sugar intake per day, is 28gr... You basically just nuked your entire recommended sugar intake for the entire day, with that one drink... a drink that really offers nothing else other than calories and sugar. View Quote Also, ASPARTAME. No sugar, calories, or carbs bro. It’s basically caffeinated water. |

I like my coffee, but I do occasionally have energy drinks. I don't think they are good for you either but neither are most things today and most of us will die of some form of cancer one day. I am active, eat what I want, ( love breads and pastas ) and feel great unless I overdo the bourbon or beers. Fluctuate from 165-175lbs since 2003. I am getting back to my super diet to put on strength and a few pounds I will try to eat around 185 gm protein a day, and 300-350 carbs a day. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I wondered about that too, but then keto gave me the energy to not need them. I went from 2 a day to none. They can’t possibly be good for you. Everybody is different with their carb tolerance. Lifting weights obviously has a huge impact on that. I know for certain that a large majority of the population eats way too many. I personally feel better without them even while lifting 3-4 days a week. At most I’ll grab a couple handfuls of blueberries right around a heavy workout. |

The lord above provided us with the perfect natural energy drink called coffee.
Why deviate broseph? |
|
I dunno, but I quit that shit (Red Bull) and cut down on my alcohol consumption because it was contributing to anxiety and high blood pressure.
If you need more than coffee every now and then, you are doing it wrong. |

Linked to hepatitis
I drink them once in a while, maybe one or two a week and not more than one a day. Moderation and all that. |

I had a rockstar yesterday, no carb, bcaa and creatine, cotton candy flavor. It was awesome.

How bad would say 2 bronkaids and a Bang energy drink every day be for you? Asking for a friend These Bang drinks are hard for me to comprehend... 300mg caffeine with 0 sugars/calories/fat/carbs and some of them taste excellent. Seems too good to be true. They do have sucralose though. View Quote |

I used to drink one monster ultra sunrise / day. Coffee in the morning.
I had a stroke last fall at age 35. Completely out of the blue and the Dr's don't know why. I eat fairly healthy, I'm pretty laid back, etc. I haven't had an energy drink since. Could they have caused it? Maybe. No one knows. |

Drastically reducing my intake of energy drinks has significantly helped my energy levels throughout the day. I feel much better.
I went from 1-2 a day to 1-2 per MONTH. I feel fantastic. I limit myself to one cup of coffee in the morning. |
|
I have always said they are the new cigarettes.
Everyone has a pretty good inkling they arent the best thing for you but will act surprised when they are linked to cancer and heart disease or something. That being said I usually have a sugarfree rockstar a day. |

Yep. I have one morning coffee and rarely go beyond that during the day. After a while it works wonders. View Quote Attached File I don't think energy drinks are bad for you in moderation. No more bad for you than coffee or soda. |

My FIL is 74 and drinks nothing but coffee (at least a pot a day), energy drinks (1 or 2 / day), and diet cokes (4 or more a day). I first met him in 1993 and have never seen him drink water. He only eats high fat / high carb food that "tastes good" and needs to drop about 60 lbs. He also smoked most of his life but gave that up a few years ago. He's in pretty good health for his age, but I wouldn't recommend his lifestyle. I suspect it would kill most everyone else.

Google "John Higgins energy drinks" He's a cardiologist at the medical school I went to. He does a ton of research in to them. tl;dr: they're bad for you. View Quote Upon admission interview questioning, we are seeing more people with chest pain and positive cardiac symptom admissions with energy drinks than with smokers in the past. YMMV. |

They have lots of b vitamins. They must be healthy. I love the taste of the sugar free ones

I’ve been drinking them for over 20 years. My ekg is good every time. I miss the energy drinks with ephrederin from the 90’s. They really gave you wings.

I've never had a single energy drink, coffee and soda aside.
Monster, Redbull, etc? No thanks. |

The ones I drink are gonna kill me. Of course, they are 50% vodka, so...

I just stopped drinking Rockstar Fruit Punch. Traded it in on Bang. Star Blast is delicious.

Please keep drinking Monster, NOS, and Full Throttle. You help pay my bills.
Oh, and we have some new flavors coming out! Monster Gronk, Rowdy, Rehab Pink Lemonade, and Full Throttle Orange are now discontinued as well....just FYI |
