Well he certainly got a solid, yet brief check on her welfare.
Right before she died because he shot her. Protected and served |

Oops. Depending on the color of the woman will determine the need for protesters

responsibility for the projectiles that exit your firearm exists for LEOs, no?

Know your target and what's behind it.
That's messed up. So the cop actuly thought a dog would kill him. I've never met a dog that I thought could kill me before i killed it with my hands or a Knife. Mess me up, yeah sure. Not a cop basher by any means but that's messed up. They must be hiring g a bunch of pussies up there. |

13-15 years ago someone near here called 911 for a harmless snake in the birdhouse...cop shot at it...missed the birdhouse and hit a 5yo fishing with his grandpa on a nearby pond.
Hit that kid square in the forehead It happens |

View Quote The standard for self-defense here is the imminent likelihood of death or severe bodily injury. And there are plenty of breeds of dog who can inflict severe bodily injury on you before you can knife or choke them to death. I'm not going to take the chance that the Lab who "wouldn't hurt a fly" will put his fang through an artery if I let him bite me. If a dog is threatening me with severe bodily injury, then I am going to defend myself. |

It’s unclear if the officer will face any charges
Why would they even consider it? Maybe the poor boy had a traumatic time with a dog as a little boy. |

Not necessarily defending the cop, but the standard for the use of deadly force for both citizen and cop has never been based solely on the imminent likelihood of death. If a dog is threatening me with severe bodily injury, then I am going to defend myself. My point was know what's behind what you intend to shoot/kill. Was a woman's life worth a couple bites from a dog? No. Like I said, I'm not a cop basher. They do a tremendous job. However, I've probably been approached by more dogs than I can remember being a lineman for 34 years. Most dogs will run off if you bark louder than they do. After many dog encounters over 34 years of going in backyards and being surprised, only once have I been bitten. Little scrawny mut dog , not even knee high. Blindsided me from a corner, didn't know he was coming. |

I have. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/58/c6/c5/58c6c5ed4789f8470c699ba7ef783d87.jpg We bred these. The males could be 185 lbs. I watched one rip the head off a pit bull once. We had 13 of them. All of them fiercely protective and smart as hell. They have a double coat, and will turn away all but the best knife attack. And if you killed the first one, the other 12 would be MIGHTY PISSED. Frankly I’m not sure a guy with an assault rifle would win if you started out at 50 yards. View Quote |

Eh, that department is staffed by some of the dumbest, poorest excuses for cops I have ever seen.

Jesus. I really don't even know what to say about this
Its going to be even worse if the dog is some ankle biter thats just running up barking like they do. |

I heard a few weekends ago a leo in DFW shot a Chihuahua. I've not looked for an article, mainly because I'd be ashamed
