"suggesting that the Army should consider amending its physical standards for women. ? View Quote If I'm wounded I want someone to be able to haul my ass out, not drag me, give up 20ft later and ask another dude to do it. |

Is that why people in the worlds strongest man competition are always short and lean
Seems like at some point this would be common sense. |
|
I.E. women built closer to men outperform women built like women

I have nothing of value to add to the first post, but sure am glad these geniuses are in charge! |

What if they are women that used to be men? Sarah-N-Tune can help.

Big, muscular people are stronger and more powerful than small skinny people.
Damn, who would of thunk it? |

Movies have taught me that 4'11 100 lb females can beat 3-4 6' 250 lb males in a fight easily.

My own intense, multi-year research shows that short little spinners outperform amazons sexually.
I didn't even need to spend any .gov money to figure that out. |

In short, Army needs meaty women capable of causing death by snu-snu.
Got it. Amazons; we've known about this for some three thousand years. |

In my own personal observations tall women can indeed perform!!! ??

To say that body mass matters is sexism, pure and simple.
To say that body mass matters within the subset that comprises females.... well, that's just common sense. |

Regardless of height, even very athletic women who work their ass off are weaker than the average man where it counts.

But it is funny to see the 4’10 chick with a m249 almost dragging the muzzle in the dirt.

Quoted: I think the real issue here is that the current height and weight standards discriminate against the very body types that are better at those tasks. Men are similarly affected, but probably not as much, since so many smaller men can still meet fixed standards and the guys built like “strong man” competitors either fight body fat restrictions all their career, or get out early. With women, though, when everyone is tripping over themselves to prove they can make it, this issue is much more in the forefront. This petite little marathon runners and cross fitters might be great at body weight exercises, but they don’t have much body weight. View Quote |

No fucking shit. I want my tax money back.
ETA We give our military too much money and too much latitude on how that money is spent. Prove me wrong. |

The litter obstacle course at Fort Sam back in 1988 convinced me that women weren't cut out for some jobs in the military.
That and the fact they fell out on runs at much higher rates. And the fact they struggled carrying two water cans or fuel cans up a hill. And the fact they suck at the fireman's carry. And the fact they much higher pregnancy rates than men when deployments crop up. |

Wait, physical fitness and strength are important characteristics for an infantry person?
Who could have seen that coming??? |

View Quote I had to share my tracked aid station with a female medic during a couple training rotations at NTC and I can tell you who did all the donkey work and who had to ask any available male soldier to lend a hand when a litter patient needed unloading from an M113 or into a Hummer ambulance. Spoiler alert. It wasn't her. |

So........big gals are better at hauling sandbags? Good to know.

A linebacker outperforms others if they are big mother fuckers.
If they are 5'7 and 125 pounds they are not good linebackers a study finds What we need to do is remove all the big men and keep the smaller men so the women have a chance. That will fix it |
