How come I think there was a deal made? We'll transfer $20 million in cash, some small arms and some manpads to some small fringe group if they launch a missile strike that we expect to get intercepted by an American ship.

Here it seems we were protecting Israel (again, if the story is true) from potential outside interference. Saw a few things talking about R2-D2's angry cousin getting play time... but "launched from Yemen to Israel" means they would have to fly pretty near by the boat to be taken out by CIWS, wouldn't they? Could explain some thinking the ship was targeted.
Not aware the Houthi had missiles with that range. |

More than enough to reach anywhere in the ME. It was not known the Houthi had any. I guess we now know. My guess is Iran has established a base in Yemen and operating them, not the Houthis. |
