I believe democrats actually are scared that Trump will run, and could win again. It kinda blows the whole stolen election narrative out of the water, but that’s not what this thread is about.

I’m not really concerned at all (with just a few possible exceptions) what Trump did with taking documents he shouldn’t have, or classified information, to MarALago. I’m sure every president ever has done similar, or worse.  Unless evidence comes to light of intentional wrongdoing with grave national security implications, this will remain in my eyes an unprecedented and unjustified politician witch-hunt. And given how much I dislike Trump, and hope he does not run again, that is saying something.

Yeah I hate trump but this is ridiculous as was the Russian collusion shit.  Our federal agencies are so far beyond repair with corruption I honestly fear we can't turn this country around at all.  The monster has grown too strong already and it's just a slow decline till there's another violent revolution someday.

Unless we elect a president and representatives willing to pretty much abolish these federal agencies and start from scratch our elected government isn't the ones really running things around here.

Criminal culpability exists on those who manufactured the evidence providing the impetus for the Mueller investigation. The DNC acted criminally, and those responsible belong in jail.

The two impeachments were political theatre. As much as I may believe Trump acted inappropriately with both his interactions with Zelenski, and his behavior leading up to Jan 6, he was never going to be convicted in the senate. Waste of time, money, and a partisan attempt by the democrat controlled house to unnecessarily further divide our country.

Anyone capable of unbiased critical thinking knows there was election fraud (to an extent) in 2020. 2024 will be different (i.e. they'll less likely to get away with cheating on the same level) because of what transpired in 2020, barring some unforeseen occurrence in their favor which enables more/easier cheating.

Pure conjecture, but I think this is an all-in moment for the "deep state." If they don't find anything they can run with, they'll plant it or figure out a way to incriminate Trump. These are not dumb people. They have power and vast resources on their side.

Just a reminder, however you feel about Poso, he was one of the first with the unredacted 7 page FBI warrant/search list. Seems like he’s got a legit source or two.

That’s the real tragedy of the previous weaponization of our federal agencies as political arms.

Regardless of any actual wrongdoing, the FBI simply lacks the credibility to prove it in the eyes of a hundred million Americans. And understandably so.

So, there very well could have been classified documents in there then.

If you want to have a chance at abolishing the agencies in question then i strongly suggest supporting the only viable candidate that is continually attacked by those very agencies.  

Otherwise piss your vote away on a non viable third party candidate.

Trump's lawyer told the DOJ in June that ALL classified documents held at Mar-a-Lago had been returned to the government - and FBI raid was sparked by suspicion of 'obstruction'  

One of the lawyers working for Former President Donald Trump signed a written statement in June confirming that all classified material had been returned to the government.

The declaration was given to the Department of Justice on June 3 after a visit to Mar-a-Lago by top counterintelligence official Jay I. Bratt - two months before the FBI raid.


The former president insisted Friday that everything was 'declassified' and agents 'didn't need to seize anything.'

Some of the documents were marked 'top secret' and are meant to be kept in specialized government facilities, according to a copy of the warrant.

The FBI would have needed to prove reasonable suspicion that Trump committed a crime in holding on to the documents - criminal statutes cited in the warrant include espionage, removal of records and obstruction of justice.

It appears that in signing the declaration that all of the documents had been removed, his lawyers sparked the DOJ's decision to conduct the search on Monday.



In an attempt to resolve the dispute, Bratt and other officials visited the Florida home and spoke with Trump and two of his lawyers - Evan Corcoran and Christina Bobb.

Last year it was discovered that Trump had taken dozens of documents and government material with him when he left office in January 2021.

The material was supposed to have been sent to the archives under the terms of the Presidential Records Act.

He then returned 15 boxes of material in January this year, which was examined and found to be classified information.

That sparked the investigation with the DOJ and FBI, and Trump was advised to return any other documents that he had retained.

His team then signed the declaration that all the material had been removed in June, before a raid by the FBI on Monday which found further documents.

A spokesman for the former president, Taylor Budowich, said on Saturday, ‘Just like every Democrat-fabricated witch hunt previously, the water of this unprecedented and unnecessary raid is being carried by a media willing to run with suggestive leaks, anonymous sources and no hard facts.’

The search warrant stated that FBI agents carried out the search to look for evidence related to the possible violations of the Espionage Act.
