The interesting bit here? He didn't commit suicide in a jail cell.
HE COMMITTED SUICIDE IN A SUICIDE-PREVENTION CELL. |

In before the usual suspects start poo-pooing this as “conspiracy theory”.

HTF does someone commit suicide when they are on suicide watch? How? What did he have that he could kill himself with? I'm not gonna jump immediately to conspiracy, but I'd definitely like to know what ball was dropped there. View Quote |

Those Federal Marshals are really something.
He got in to full dress uniform and took out a nickle plated pistol and shot himself... |

Quoted: This wasn't Jeff's first rodeo with respect to incarceration. He was locked up awaiting trial back in 2006 for a time and he'd already served 13 months back in 2008. Look, you seems to be convinced this was all above board. If you've really followed this case you know that there were numerous very powerful people that absolutely did not want to see Epstein go through a real trial. That alone suggest a huge degree of skepticism that we are getting the straight story here. It was supposed to happen when the shootings took place but I guess the timing was off. Better late than never I guess?

It’s extremely hard to get info or convictions, so most people just throw their hands up

Epstein didn't really serve 13 months, and saying he did is a total mischaracterization of his previous sentence. He spent that 13 months primarily on work-release, and the rest of the time he was in his own special cell in a decent facility. My understanding was he was only "locked up" on weekends. Totally different than being in MCC awaiting trial for crimes likely to put you away for the rest of your life. They've just launched an investigation into the sheriff's handling of the case. State to investigate Palm Beach County sheriff’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein case About 3½ months into his sentence, Epstein was allowed to spend up to 72 hours a week, working out of a downtown West Palm Beach office. Deputy reports show he also was able to visit his Palm Beach mansion, despite restrictions on home visits. In reports, deputies referred to Epstein as the “client” and noted he was “very happy with the service" he was being provided.
As part of the agreement, Epstein’s nonprofit organization paid nearly $128,000 to the Sheriff’s Office for off-deputy deputies to supervise the work release. The deputies were required to wear suits while on the detail. |

Sorry, you will have to take those down. |

When you are in a special cell, and on suicide watch.....how in the hell do you kill yourself? I'm assuming they don't give him anything that could be used to strangle himself....right??
This is going to get interesting really quick. |

There are a lot of relieved politicians right now. I’ll bet Slick Willie is having a stiff drink too.

Quoted: SHU cells don't have cameras in them....and neither would a suicide watch cell. View Quote Not only are there cameras on the egress and entrances to the housing unit/pod/barracks/hall, but there are multiple cams covering the hallway and exterior doors to the individual cells, and then cameras inside the special behavior control cells, where you would be on suicide watch. These cells get documented 5 minute checks. Yes every 5 minutes, you lay eyes in person and document this on the cell log. The inmate on suicide watch would be in a paper gown or butt naked, with absolutely nothing to fabricate a rope or weapon with. This is SOP. |
