So wife and I just got back from picking the boy and his girl up from t he homecoming dance. It was supposed to go until 10p, but apparently someone said someone else had a gun and everyone cleared out and the cops came in from several jurisdictions. Police have reported via facebook that there was no threat, and no gun, but whatever, kinda put a damper on the evening for the dance. We'll take his girlfriend home in an hour or so. Kind of a bummer that crap like this happens and that everyone panics at the slightest thing. OMG a gun!!!!! View Quote |

A friend's 50th is today, they're a friend from when I was in that Star Wars costuming club. A coworker and I (coworker is also in that club, one who got me my job here) got him a walker, 3D printed the Imperial Cog, and epoxied two cogs to it. He's getting an Imperial Walker View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Any of you guys ever feel like you own too much shit? I have a 4 br house with a garage and shed and a basement, and they've all got stuff in them. Not overflowing like hoarder stuff, but I'd say "at capacity". And that makes me anxious for some reason at 3 am. View Quote |

I think the problem is I know I'm not going to die in this house. I just did an engine swap on my riding mower which used about 40% of the tools that I own, including an angle grinder (my favorite power tool). On principal I like the concept of owning minimal items, but then I have projects where I need an obscure piece and if I didn't have a tool chest full of random parts I wouldn't be able to fix it. I like the idea of being self reliant, but that's wholly incompatible with the idea of not owning much stuff. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

So far the pup likes to jump, bite/nip, try to eat anything he finds, sniff every square inch of ground on walks and never settle down. But he still hasn't barked even when hearing other dogs bark. So I got that going for me. Which is nice. He turned 10 weeks today. It shall be a journey. I looked at pheasant/quail training aids today at Sportsmans Warehouse. I might give it a go. Wife is still adamant about no other pets. Maybe by Christmas time or so. |

I used SD's advice on our morning walk. By the end he wasn't sniffing near as much and if I gave a gentle tug on the leash and said heel he'd stop and sit until prompted. He got lots of treats. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

We encountered another owner walking their dog and stayed on the opposite side of the road. The other dog (about a 20 pound dog) barked Radar's direction and Radar got scared.
