Quoted: If you really want to scare people.. Tell them that swarm is right on top of volcano too!! https://www.usgs.gov/volcanoes/salton-buttes View Quote Also worth noting that earthquake swarms are often an indication of movement in a magma chamber. 2001, 2009, 2016, 2020 follow that regression and we could be seeing a volcanic eruption within the next 5 years or so. |

In 1906 an earthquake destroyed San Francisco. In 1964 an earthquake destroyed Anchorage.
Year and a half ago we had a 7.0 here. No one died, power was back on just about everywhere by the end of the day, and in less than a week most roads were fixed. A few homes and buildings were condemned but mostly everything stayed in one piece. The 7.1 in 1989 damn near leveled San Francisco (again), Oakland, and Santa Cruz. Granted they tend to build up and not out there, it still seems like they didn't learn much in CA in 83 years, I hope that changed in the last 21. |

Quoted: Haven't they been claiming the "Big one is coming" for like 20 years now? View Quote That's the fun part about living in earthquake country - the big one is ALWAYS coming, and there's not really any way to tell when. It's true that the media will inevitably latch onto even tiny temblors as harbingers of doom. But there's still a substantial amount of truth to the fact that The Next Big One really could happen at any moment. With most other natural disasters, you almost always get SOME warning, but earthquakes really do just come out of nowhere. The latest media sensationalism is really just a reminder to check your preps. |

If it happens you know the Dems will scream much louder for other ways to vote then.

So, there's a chance most of Joe's electoral college votes might slide into the ocean? Maybe 2020 isn't so bad after all?

I hope all our freedom loving friends have a chance to escape before the left coast slides into the sea.

But the little quakes are suppose to reduce the possibility of a big quake, reducing stress

Fault zones are racist. I think that ANTIFA and BLM should travel out there and protest.

Quoted: 'THE BIG ONE' OFFICIAL THREAD https://www.foxnews.com/weather/a-swarm-of-small-earthquakes-in-california-san-andreas-fault-questions A swarm of minor earthquakes near California's Salton Sea is raising concern about the potential for a larger temblor at the state's San Andreas Fault. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the dozens of tremors began in the early morning on Monday, ranging in size from a 2.6 magnitude quake to a 4.6 magnitude quake northwest of Palm Springs and the Salton Sea. The swarm marks only the fourth time in almost 90 years of modern seismology records that such an incident has occurred in that part of the Golden State. The area is overdue for a "Big One." Larger-scale quakes on the San Andreas Fault are expected every 200 years on average, and the southern area has not seen action since 1680 to 1690. Edit to add 'BREAKING', because it's a pun. View Quote Lol this would be the ideal 2020 September disaster. |

Alaska set the bar in 1964 at 9.2, come on California surely you can beat that.

Not worried. Any more some kid drops his jello cup and over half of California races to duck and cover. When it happens, it will happen. San Fernando Harbor will become the most modern port in the world.

Quoted: Normally the articles like to be a little sensational, but i kind of think the article linked in the article brushes off a little bit of significant information. It mentions that this is the 4th time that a swarm like this has happened in the last 90 years. Makes you think "no big deal". BUT the real story is that this is the 4th time in the last 20 years. 2001, 2009, 2016, and 2020. Anyone else see a little problem with the gaps between thos occurrences?
