Well I don't have an opinion on him . . . but I'm glad it's not Gingrich or Christie, both those guys would have been dead weight (especially Krispy lol)

What's the over/under on when someone from the left comes out and says he's a homophobic bigot?
I'm guessing two hours. GO! |

Pence is a member of the TEA party, doesn't want refugees, pro-2A, no gays in the military, religious freedom laws, typical conservative which is what Trump needs.

I was hoping he was gonna pick Zimmerman.
Cant Stump or Simmer 2016. |

Hoosier talking here. Pence is gtg. Strong on 2A and fiscal discipline. Calm demeanor will be good for Trump.

OK, but I was pulling for Sarah Palin. But, at the end of the day, it makes no difference. View Quote Palin would've been a pretty good pick. "Misogyny? If I hated women, why would I be married to one? Hell, why would I pick Sarah Palin as my running mate?" "The first woman to serve as Vice President, and a good friend, our very own Sarah Palin!" It would be a massive step up from Christie or Newt, and it'd give him considerably more support from the feminists/housewives. Kick Hillary's legs right out from under her. Of course, I'm still a big fan of Pence, so that's a win-win either way. |

Trump should have picked a woman as his VP, a black or Hispanic one would have even been the best choice.

Pence is a smart guy however my issue with him is he didn't endorse Trump before the Indiana primary. Yes, his endorsement for Cruz was tepid but still he should of been more bold by supporting Trump outright.

I told you trump would pick a liberal demcrat as his Vice President...oh wait

Thank god it wasnt a Christie or Palin. Both of them are straight poison to his ticket. I was hoping for a Colin Powell or Rice, but they both declined IIRC. I was also hoping for a woman or a "minority" but i figured that would be Trump just picking that person for their skin color/lady bits. Thats not fair and i felt it would undermine his character.
Trump is pretty damn good at picking someone who he thinks is best for the job. I heard some scuttle butt that he preferred "yes men" in his top positions, but id like to you name me one CEO who doesnt. You need people who work under you that see that same vision as yourself. Balancing the yes men with quality men is whats important for a CEO, per se. After a quick glance it seems that Pence is a huge addition to him. Pence is VERY well liked with the GOP and is VERY well connected with GOP donor base. If this is his true pick, it would seem he is trying to shore up his GOP base that hasnt fully signed on yet. Also to get the GOP of Both Houses onboard the Trump Train along with setting up a man who can pull strings for him on capitol hill once he gets there. Also Pence is VERY religious and is vocal about it. In the end, many people are going to say "Two fucking white males!!" when his announcement is made. But the people who would make that statement werent going to vote for Trump regardless. I say Bravo. |

However, the left will destroy him over his stance against homosexuals. Numerous statements opposing special protected class for homosexuals regards to "hate crimes" as well as military service. That is the only thing you'll hear the left talk about View Quote The left and MSM would have said that shit about Harvey Milk if he were a Republican running for a national office. Voters swayed by that sort of shit are already lining up to keep Trump from winning... nothing lost there. Pence seems like a solid enough conservative to get some of the #nevertrump crowd closer to holding their noses and voting against Hillary. Pence seems to me like the best of the bunch that made the "short list". |

I'm good with it. Pence has been pretty good for Indiana. The one spot that I will fault him on was giving in to pressure and signing the RFRA "fix" bill. The law was fine as it stood, but everyone was selectively misunderstanding it.
Other than that, he's been a fairly strong conservative. |
