This is clearly an Iranian act of war. I hope it can await a week and a half so I can be back in country and see what’s up. It takes forever to mobilize the reserves though.

Unfortunately, the only thing the Iranian gov't understands is force and raw power. Any conciliatory act on our part is viewed as a lack of resolve or worse. While we've definitely poked them a few times over the years, they embarrassed our sailors by seizing a ship in international waters, supplied the insurgents in Iraq with IEDs and bomb making materials, stole a high end drone and presumably gave it to China/Russia, and now this. We need to do something. |

Is this the second one they claim to have shot down? i seem to remember late last week they made the same claim. Either way, it's definitely heating up over there. Quoted: Something seems off with this whole situation with Iran. Maybe it was Kerry going over there and acting like he was still the secretary of state even after Trump took office. Maybe it was fineswine getting caught in public calling an Iranian leader but something seems to be up between the democrats and Iran. The democrats so openly working with Iran makes me think they are trying to provoke Trump into doing something. There is really no reason for the democrats to be so openly close with Iran. They could do whatever they want without making such a show. I personally think the democrats and Iran are working together and working on trying to win the democrats the 2020 election. How exactly I'm not sure but they are certainly up to something shady. Maybe they are trying to provoke Trump into taking military action and then making sure it goes bad. You may may be on to something. Obama was more loyal to Iran then to the US, Jerrit is an Iranian by birth. Also shows additional photos of Iranian speedboats AA gun I'm guessin Bofors or clone? Lat/Long of impact position should resolve the question of where it was shot down. I'd hope we have some sort of "electronic fence" warning to let pilots/drone operators know when they are straying into enemy airspace. Expensive asset to lose. Big too (131' wingspan - Diego Garcia or a UAE airstrip?) May want to add flares, chaff, countermeasures or something to them. Maybe we do but don't want to tip our hand. If shootdown is GPS verified over international waters, we now have full justification for payback. Next new moon July 2nd. Time to get some resources in place for one wild night. Take out all their ships & subs. All missile launchers, factories. Bomb (limpet mines) factories, Shore Antiship batteries (Sunburns, etc). Let the Izzies hit the nuke plants while we keep em busy elsewhere. If Khamenei happens to be visiting a plant, oh well... Any .mil experts please chime in on what you'd go for. |

No all out war needed.
Shut down the Strait to Iranian exports, make it a no go zone. they need it more than we do. Other countries who need it, help them reroute using pipelines and ports away from it. Leverage countries around them to heavily tax Iran oil coming out, and export our oil out to the countries using Iranian oil at a higher amount. Let's take a page out of OPEC book and use oil as a weapon. Hit their main source of revenue hard and watch the population start to turn on their government again as they grow desperate. Mysteriously weapons start matriculating across Iraq and Pakistan borders to give to the remnants of the Green Revolution. If it turns into full out revolution, then assist using surgical strikes like in Syria. They want to take out a $180 million drone? Then we are going to cause you $180 billion in lost oil revenue and use your own population against you. Why should the USA use this course of action? Full scale war would give Democrats something to run on and Iran knows this. Avoid all out war, contain them using weapons if needed, starve them out, make them suffer. They can try to escalate, it would result in just their forces being dominated, but we won't invade. More and more attempts to hit our forces? Then it builds a case for more and more larger warranted action. Builds Trump as being level headed, baits Democrats to be the war mongers as they always take the opposite side. Finally after 2020 is Trump secured, then bring on the shock and awe the hell out of their military assets, then most importantly, leave if the Green Revolution 2.0 doesn't emerge. Signal the larger hyenas of neighboring countries(Saudi Arabia and Pakistan) to divide up the country on it's edges, we don't care. If the Iranian people can hold their own, then more power to them. If they can't, they will be torn apart by sectarian Muslim savagery. No more Iran. |
