I had spiked hair, but no Mohawk.  I then grew it it out into a long surfer haircut (yes I actually surfed)

Now I am balding

I was 15 in ‘85 when I first had my ear pierced. Not only one but I was the only boy in school with both ears pierced (2 in the left and one in the right). The funniest part is I asked my mom if I could get my ear pierced. I think we may have had to have a parent accompany you. So she said she had to talk to my father. The next day on the way to school she said “your father said you could get your dick pierced as far as he cared”. Lol

I was too busy being a kid in the 80's.  The rebellion didn't start till the 90's.  We thought we were pretty punk rock.  Really it was a mix of punk, skater kid, and alternative grunge.  With some Beastie Boys rap mixed in.  Although technically they started out as a punk band.

I had multiple Mohawks, including a double,  and every color hair they made dye for.

In high school Two friends and I had just come out of some store in Ann Arbor.  We decided to take a break and sit down in front of the store.  After a couple minutes people started giving us change.  I think we made about five bucks just sitting there.

Nope. Metal head. I thought the punk costumes were goofy. I never saw any of that in Florida anyway.

At one point, I had a mullet, and a shag—when I had hair.....and my girlfriend did one of those Adam Ant braids that hung on my forehead....Thank god there was no YouTube back then....all the pics are lost in a flood.

Later a pony tail....

Thanks for making me think of the stupidity that was my youth

I tried to get my ear pierced but my parents would not let me.  I did not have a mohawk but did have the sides of my head shaved and the top somewhat long.

I did the hair, wore boots and a leather, went to shows and got in the pit, but was never pierced.  I was never into body modification and I always thought that earrings and nose rings were a feminine affectation and did not take to it.

That said, I loved me some punk rock girls.

Had my left ear pierced for a couple of days until my dad saw it.  His comment was essentially "You remove it or I will and I guarantee it'll be a lot less painful if you do it".  A friend of mine had pierced it with a sewing machine needle after I'd numbed it up with some ice cubes.  I had a mullet with the short spiky hair on top when I was playing soccer (the soccer rocker , not too long in the back); my senior year it was longer all over.

I graduated HS in 1986 and had none of that crap, not even a mullet. I made fun of my brother (4 years younger) when he got an earring. I asked him if he had a tampon to go with it.

OTH, I had a bitchin' 80s mustache.
