On a similar note, let's look at Denzel Washington.

Compare how much you hated his character in Training Day to how much you loved his character in Man on Fire, and then look at some random roles like John Q or Flight to round out the middle.

He seems to have been typecast into an action hero since Book of Eli, but that doesn't take away from the range of his earlier works.

For my vote though, even though not as prolific an actor as Will Smith or Denzel Washington, I'd have to give the award to the late Michael Clarke Duncan. His role in The Green Mile will forever be impossible to beat.

Denzel, because once at work, during one of our big snow storms, I met him, his family, and his security entourage, and had to disappoint all of them from their expected fun day of sledding.
Sorry kids.

Also, Denzel won his best actor trophy for the wrong movie, and sorry Denzel, but your supporting trophy should have gone to Morgan Freeman.

I like Idris but man, he's been in some bad movies and was bad in them. Denzel has been pretty consistent for a long time. Really no contest there.

The dude in Greenbook was really good.

I used to like all of those actors and more, but between BLM and NFL, I really don't care to see any of them anymore. I feel that they would all hate me if they met me because I am white. The past year has ruined me on black people. I hate it because I have family that are black, and are really nice people, but I just don't trust any of them anymore.
