Oh look at that. Dumping them all on his doorstep sorta worked...
Fuck that. Enforce the immigration laws. Send them back home with a story to tell. They can come legally or not at all. |

So wait, does this mean that the Trump amdin could have waived those same federal laws and not had to deal with all the MSM bullshit and environmental lawsuits trying to stop construction?

Quoted: The Biden administration announced they waived 26 federal laws in South Texas to allow border wall construction on Wednesday, marking the administration’s first use of a sweeping executive power employed often during the Trump presidency. The Department of Homeland Security posted the announcement on the U.S. Federal Registry with few details outlining the construction in Starr County, Texas, which is part of a busy Border Patrol sector seeing “high illegal entry.” According to government data, about 245,000 illegal entries have been recorded in this region during the current fiscal year. “There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas,” Alejandro Mayorkas, the DHS secretary, stated in the notice. View Quote You're missing a critical part: To get anything done you need cooperation, laws and scribbles on paper won't make it happen. IDK if he did that or not, but let's assume that he did ... and nobody in the fedgov cooperated, everyone dragged their feet, or cooperated in the most destructive way they could. |

I saw former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott talking about this today, and he mentioned that it was most likely related to the Impoundments Act. Congress appropriated the funding for this section of Wall in 2019, and it needed to be spent by a certain date. Biden cannot just refuse to spend appropriated funding from Congress, without getting the House and Senate to agree to rescind the funds.
Mark Levin said that Biden refusing to abide by the Act, could have been another impeachable offense by FJB. I am guessing someone woke up at the last minute before the clock ran out, and started the project to save FJB's ass from another impeachment charge. |

View Quote We did waive the environmental laws. What stopped us out West was not enough money. What stopped us in the Rio Grande Valley was getting enough land acquired either voluntarily or through condemnation. We were just about to start blowing and going in RGV when Biden took office. Acquiring enough contiguous properties was our Achilles heel. Contracts were awarded before the land was available to build on….and the Contractors had to wait. ETA: those are the fence panels being disposed of….the ones that were ready before we had land to plant them in. |

WASHINGTON— House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.), Rep. Jake LaTurner (R-Kan.), and Oversight Committee Republicans are investigating recent reports that the Biden Administration is selling off procured materials intended to construct part of the U.S.-Mexico border wall system. In a letter to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Commanding General Scott Spellmon, the lawmakers request documents and information to enable oversight over the administration’s actions in selling vital border wall components. “The Biden Administration’s decision to sell already purchased border materials is waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars. The United States is facing the worst border crisis in our history due to the Biden Administration’s policies. We should be using tools already at our disposal to stop the surge of illegal border crossings,” said Chairman Comer. “When someone is repeatedly breaking into your home, you don’t sell the locks on the door. These border materials have sat rotting in the sun since day one of President Biden’s tenure when he signed a reckless proclamation halting border wall construction. President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas’ failure to secure the border has allowed drugs, crime, and human trafficking to pour into the U.S., killing and endangering American citizens. I look forward to learning from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers what further negligence the Biden Administration is engaging in.” View Quote https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/USACE-Doc-Request-on-Border-Barrier-System-Sell-Off.pdf |

Building a wall stops nothing if you leave the gates open. Besides I suspect that the left has calculated that they have let enough illegal's in that it destroy the country as we know it.

Mexican construction companies (funded by US democratic interests and by front companies run by the cartels) have just bought billions of dollars worth of horizontal drilling equipment. There are big drilling expeditions going on in Baja, California, Arizona and Texas. |
