I know any infringement is wrong.

However, Vegas was going to be used to ban ALL SEMI-AUTOS.

Focusing on the accessory meant that every semi-auto remained safe.

That shooting was a golden opportunity for the Left to turn it into a Port Arthur moment.  And as we have seen in Australia, it only got worse after that.

Port Arthur: 35 dead

Las Vegas: 60 dead

You might not like it, but turning the attention to the stock was a tactical sacrifice that WORKED to prevent restrictions on all self-loading guns.

LMFAO uh huh.  The justification for Trump’s bullshit continues.

Semi auto guns were never on the chopping block.  Your theory is ridiculously out of touch with reality.

You might not like it, but turning the attention to the stock was a tactical sacrifice that WORKED to prevent restrictions on all self-loading guns.

Following the spree, the Prime Minister of Australia, John Howard, led the development of strict gun control laws within Australia and formulated the National Firearms Agreement, restricting the private ownership of semi-automatic rifles, semi-automatic shotguns and pump-action shotguns as well as introducing uniform firearms licensing. It was implemented with bipartisan support by the Commonwealth, states and territories.[21] The massacre happened just six weeks after the Dunblane massacre, in Scotland, which claimed 18 lives, with UK Prime Minister John Major reaching out to his counterpart over the shared tragedies; the United Kingdom passed its own changes to gun laws the next year after a change of government.[22][23]

Under federal government co-ordination, all states and territories of Australia restricted the legal ownership and use of self-loading rifles, self-loading shotguns, and tightened controls on their legal use by recreational shooters. The government initiated a mandatory "buy-back" scheme with the owners paid according to a table of valuations. Some 643,000 firearms were handed in at a cost of $350 million which was funded by a temporary increase in the Medicare levy which raised $500 million.[24]

Liberals and Leftists support gun control for different reasons.
Liberals support it due to political correctness.
Leftists support it because they want control.

The vast and overwhelming majority of the law abiding gun owners in America are white.
The vast and overwhelming majority of the violent criminals in America are black or Hispanic.
The Dems' solution to curbing the violence perpetrated overwhelmingly by black and Hispanic criminals,
is to enact gun control measures that will make it more difficult for law-abiding white people to own guns.

Makes no sense, right? Well... it makes no sense if the goal is to reduce violent crime.

If you're a liberal, it makes sense, because it avoids addressing the politically incorrect realities of violence and crime in America.
If you're a Leftist, it makes sense because it disarms the law-abiding, which is what you really want.

Great another executive level initiative that will continue long after Biden is out of office and be periodically resurrected by future 'gun control' Presidents.
Is there a way to stop this now and avoid the money sinkhole that this will become?

Quoted:
Biden to Announce Executive Level Gun Control Office

https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/259519/IMG_2362_jpeg-2960204.JPG

President Joe Biden will announce the Office of Gun Violence Prevention on Friday and the new office will be coordinated with Mike Bloomberg gun control proponents and others.

According to the Washington Post, “The new office will report up through Stefanie Feldman, the White House staff secretary and a longtime Biden policy aide who has worked on the firearms issue for years.”

Coordination in the office is expected between the “White House, the Community Justice Action Fund and Everytown for Gun Safety.”

Shannon Watts, a Mike Bloomberg affiliate who founded Moms Demand Action, praised the creation of the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, saying, “If this announcement is, in fact, the creation of a single point of leadership on gun violence in the administration, it’s a very big deal for the movement.”

She added, “A governmental focal point dedicated to creating a framework for overseeing national policy, research and resources would be more than symbolic — it would be a significant turning point for the movement.”

On August 31, 2023, Breitbart News reported that Biden’s ATF was using executive rule to expand background checks to the point of nearly being universal.

In a press release that accompanied the announcement of the proposed rule, Attorney General Merrick Garland said:

“The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act was passed by Congress to reduce gun violence, including by expanding the background checks that keep guns out of the hands of criminals. This proposed rule implements Congress’s mandate to expand the definition of who must obtain a license and conduct a background check before selling firearms.”

The ATF’s rule will redefine language so that there is not simply a category of Americans buying and selling guns from and to one another — as they have done since 1791 — and a category of Federal Firearms Licensed holders (FFLs) selling guns at retail. Rather, every seller will have to prove he is not trying to make a profit, or he will be required to ensure the purchaser undergoes a background check before taking possession of the firearm.

Creating a false dichotomy is how cultists keep their fragile egos intact. It also feeds their persecution complex.

It’s interesting to note that the cult is trying to turn a Biden thread into a Trump thread so they can complain that nobody complains about Biden.  It’s almost like their little brainwashed minds can’t fathom any subject that doesn’t involve their idol.
