In the pictures shown she sure didn't look like she abused any drugs. Some sort of illness or congenital defect? I don't know much about her, but I seem to recall an episode a few years back involving heroin. Of all the things that a person can become addicted to, I will never understand heroin. Hearing people describe their experience while on heroin in no way sounds enjoyable and their life's are ruled by trying to get their next fix. That sounds awful. She only recently had a baby. We were thinking that she may have been suffering from post-natal depression and her death is not related to recreational drug use or addiction. It may also have been a result of an underlying medical condition. Know somebody who dropped dead last year after experiencing an aortic aneurysm at the age of 29. Whatever happened to the poor girl, it is a real tragedy. Only 25 years old and with two very young children. Her family and friends will naturally be absolutely devastated. Thoughts are with them. |

To be fair, those pushchairs are a crap design and have very small front wheels - we had something similar (might even be the same make). it used to come to a stop with the smallest of obstructions and could tip up easily. Looks like she was pushing it along and went down into a hole in the pavement. |

No matter what the circumstances.. No father should have to outlive his children.. That's a rough day.. This but I have no idea who she or he is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yteMugRAc0 Bob's an interesting guy (more on that in a moment): that video is about a mass school shooting in 1979 (link): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Don't_Like_Mondays "According to Geldof, he wrote the song after reading a telex report at Georgia State University's campus radio station, WRAS, on the shooting spree of 16-year-old Brenda Ann Spencer, who fired at children in a school playground at Grover Cleveland Elementary School in San Diego, California on 29 January 1979, killing two adults and injuring eight children and one police officer. Spencer showed no remorse for her crime and her full explanation for her actions was "I don't like Mondays. This livens up the day".[2] The song was first performed less than a month later. Geldof explained how he wrote the song: I was doing a radio interview in Atlanta with Fingers and there was a telex machine beside me. I read it as it came out. Not liking Mondays as a reason for doing somebody in is a bit strange. I was thinking about it on the way back to the hotel and I just said 'Silicon chip inside her head had switched to overload'. I wrote that down. And the journalists interviewing her said, 'Tell me why?' It was such a senseless act. It was the perfect senseless act and this was the perfect senseless reason for doing it. So perhaps I wrote the perfect senseless song to illustrate it. It wasn't an attempt to exploit tragedy.[3]" Whether Bob thought it through or just wrote the song as an emotional reaction to a horrible, dispicable crime by a madwoman, the song stoked emotions and garnered support amongst the general population for anti-guns legislation in the U.K. and America. Bob is also a life-long rocker who could have easily been a "one hit wonder." Instead, he instead FOCUSED his brush with fame into an actual aid effort with real effects which went way beyond LiveAid. He was and is active trying to help people. His desire is genuine and persistent and for that he deserves credit. However, as one person above mentioned, the efforts seem focused on immediate relief without a thought to real, sustainable solutions for Africa's problems. I feel terrible for the death of his daughter; what parent wouldn't?? This is a tragedy however it happened. Just just awful. |

Still don't know who she is. View Quote Her dad is the guy who organised LiveAid http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_Aid He was also the lead singer of the Boomtown Rats. He was married to Paula Yates who died in 2000. Paula Yates was Peaches' mother. Pretty well known on the music scene in the UK. Also organised BandAid in '84 |

Peaches had a long history of drug abuse (heroin) but had supposedly gotten clean a few years ago.

That's a damned shame for a father to have to bury his daughter, and it looks like she had a kid as well.
Bob Geldof was also "Pink" in the movie "Pink Floyd-The Wall." |

Don't know if it was intentional or not. I just think it's kinda fucked up considering the context of the song that broke The Boomtown Rats. Sad. I feel for Geldolf. Always liked his music. |

I figured out what happened. A few weeks before her death, Peaches had expressed concern that her home in Kent may be haunted. The socialite shared a photo of herself and son Astala in the bath in December which appeared to show a translucent hand to the side of her neck. She wrote next to the picture: 'And no that isn't my hand - one of mine was round his waist to hold him during the photo, the other holding the camera to take the shot. Also the hand is around my shoulder so totally weird angle if I did it myself. How terrifying!! (sic)'. Peaches posted the spooky selfie on Instagram and told how she believed the hand belonged to the spirit of a woman who committed suicide nearly 100 years ago after delivering a stillborn baby. She said: 'The house was built in the 1920s by a rich man and his pregnant wife. 'However, his wife had a stillborn baby and was so grief-stricken she went mad. She apparently drowned herself in the bath.' Peaches claimed she often felt a ghostly presence in the house - but said it was a welcoming one rather than threatening. She added: 'The presence I feel isn't malignant or angry, rather maternal and friendly - the house has a lovely atmosphere. 'Maybe she's just making her presence known because she loves having babies around.' Peaches even started to leave her door open when she slept at night in case the 'ghost comes back'. |
