Best thing that can be done is to just leave them alone and ignore them.

On the bridge now. They’ve got three right lanes closed. Can’t see the terrorists but could see their streamers a minute ago. Wally World truck in front of me blocking my view.

I’ve got so many ideas....
Send fire ants down the ropes.... Start soaking the ropes in fuel.... Start a 10 minute timer and every time it goes off cut one of them down.... Lower a hornets nest down on a rope.... This could be fun. |

Fuel a ship with the cheapest bunker fuel you can find and have it idle below them.

I think they should prone out all these terrorists so we can roll over them if/when we ever get moving again.
|
|
Just haul them up and arrest each one. Or ensures they aren’t resupplied with food/water.

They even brought wind flags, very thoughtful.

HCSO tac team on site. Baytown FD, county constables and HPD. I just cleared it. Terrorists apparently still swinging in the breeze.

Why are they aiding the protesters by closing the bridge? Either just ignore them and let it be business as usual, or haul them up and arrest them. Ridiculous.

Yep, They effectively made the protest for them. Otherwise life goes on as usual while they dangle. It's fucking retarded how we deal with this now. It's so stupid I have to assume the PD sympathizes and wishes to further the goals of this 'protest'. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Douchebag Baytown PD running radar a mile past the bridge. Gotta really fuck over the working man today.

View Quote Worked with a guy that was a huge leftist/global warming guy. He had moved to CA from another state. One day he was whining to me about how he has to buy a new car and how he can't afford that. When he went to register his car he found out that it wouldn't pass CA smog and it would cost thousands to get it into compliance. Just looked at him, smiled and told him "what? you don't want to do your part to save the earth and help fight global warming?" He kept driving the car, eventually it got impounded for expired registration and he was relegated to taking the bus and bumming rides off coworkers. |

Why shut down the channel? They're not going to hurt a ship.

People that intentionally put themselves in harms way should be obliged with the punishment they seek. I don't understand the LEO helping them at all. Fuck the whole lot.

Just get some fireants...let those guys climb down the rope and say Hi!

I was going to say no way HPD would be out there, but sure as shit we have several units on special assignment out there. Crock of shit

Blocking ship traffic to the Houston Ship Channel, on the day of the Democrat debate in Houston. I wonder if they are using nylon ropes made from oil based products? https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/greenpeace-protesters-hang-from-fred-hartman-bridge https://s.hdnux.com/photos/01/05/47/42/18249907/5/480x480.jpg https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/148613/311C4860-C8E1-4426-B1D0-285CC6A974E5_jpeg-1087583.JPG Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the department is monitoring the demonstration. According to NBC affiliate KPRC in Houston at least a dozen protesters were involved and the group said they plan to stay on the bridge for 24 hours.
The demonstration comes hours before the third Democratic 2020 presidential primary debate Thursday night at Texas Southern University. "We challenge every candidate on stage tonight to promise to hold the fossil fuel industry accountable if they become president," the group wrote, adding the hashtag "PeopleVsOil." View Quote View Quote This is why we should re-open the asylums. People like these folks, PETA, antifa and the like who demonstrate that they are irrational - a danger to themselves and others - need to be hauled off for "evaluation" for a set amount of time. Every psych eval and mental test should be given to them. Failure to comply equals more time in the loony bin. If they fail to prove that they were crazy when they pulled their stunts, then they get fined and then billed for their rescue, removal and treatment/evaluations. If anyone was harmed or if other crimes were commited during their stunts, then they get jail time. Make an example out of a few of them and see how quickly others follow in their footsteps. |

Hypocrites. If WE hung them from bridges, we'd be getting all arrested and shit.
I'd like to send the guys on the ships some baseball bats so they can play pinata with the danglers |
