It is like a 1911, a CZ75 combo meal.
Hi cap plus single action. The best of both worlds. It is also relatively light. Thoughts? |

Fits my hand beautifully, but I've never had the chance to shoot with one.

Had one.
Sold it. Didn't do it for me. ETA: The hammer bite was annoying as fuck too. |

Sold my Colt 1911 and bought a Belgian FN Hi Power. The Hi Power fits my hand perfectly. The CZ75B ain't bad either.
|
|
I like it except for the magazine safety which makes for a crappy 3rd world trigger.
|
|
Had a FN Hi Power, sold it. Beautiful shooter but absolutly could not find any "modern" finger release holsters such as Blackhawk or Fobus for it.

I think there are better designs out there now, but it was a revolutionary design. It's in the same class as the Mauser in some ways- outdated in their original iterations, but the operating system lives on in many modern firearms.

They are superior to the 1911 in every way in my opinion, other than caliber The soldier is Prince Harry by the way. |

I know it's probably blasphemy, but I would love it if they made a modernized BHP with a rail and possibly a polymer frame.

I love mine. After owning a bunch of 1911,Sig,HK, S&W and Glock pistols the BHP is the only one
I have kept around. |

Carried one on and off at work for 22 years I'm more accurate with a Sig 226 but I would bet my life on a HI Power
|
|
Love mine. Also solid - feels like if I run out of ammo, I could really clock someone with it and it wouldn't fly apart. Wifes S/W M and P is good but don't think it would hold together if I whipped someone with it (just the way it feels - composit and all that stuff).

I snagged one of the aluminum framed ones and its begging to be customized when I get the money.

Its a qualit gun but not even close to "best".
Shitty, heavy trigger magazine safety relatively soft, small locking lugs prone to problems with steady diets of +P "mushy" safety I've owned one. Nice gun. But it's got its weaknesses |
|
"Browning Hi Power. Best handgun design ever?"
Just one of the best from the Master. TT |
|
The CZ-75 is better. Why anyone would think otherwise is beyond my reckoning unless they just want the slightly shorter butt.
Had an FN HP and it was'nt as accurate as the Sig P225 i had and the P225 had a heavier trigger pull. |
|
I like HPs but to be the best design ever it's going to need a new trigger and sear mechanism. It is a Rube Goldberg contraption compared to most other trigger and sear systems.

I carry one of two guns concealed, with 90% of the time a 1911, and the remainder a BHP. I have the same accessories setup for both, a spare magazine and flashlight combo kydex pouch.

I like mine. It is not quite a 1911 and doesn't come in .45 ACP, but it is the next best thing (I do kind of wish the 1911 had a couple of the Hi-Power's features, though). I only paid $200 for it with four mags included, including two factory mags. Quite a few of the things people cite as reasons why the dislike the Hi-Power are things I have yet to experience with my Hi-Power. |

CZ's are great guns but IMO have the rail to far ahead having it back like on the 1911 would be great |
