The whole point of impeachment is an election strategy to boost voter turnout among the hard left portion of their base by pandering to the hashtag resistance. But with recent polls showing a very negative view of the whole ordeal among pretty much everyone outside the far left, they're now backing off.

Pandering to the far left is essential to win democratic primaries. But after those primaries are over, you still have a general election to win, which requires appealing to centrists, independents, and center-right voters.

It's an odd conundrum the democrats are in. Their base is so far and away to the fringes of leftwing thinking that appealing to the democratic base and appealing to centrists and independents are mutually exclusive endeavors. Even the ideology of what passes for the "far right" isn't all that far right and isn't particularly crazy, so for a republican to appeal to the right does not necessarily require alienating centrists or vice versa. But for a democrat to even meekly appeal to centrists does alienate the left, and the left demands appeasements that do alienate centrists.

They're in a dilemma that we don't have. And it's a dilemma that we could manipulate. If they were asked during a debate about their position on 7-year-olds getting transgender transitions, it would screw them over because it forces them to either alienate centrists or the left. Any non-psycho who hears them suggest that you're a bigot for not taking your seven year old to have their hormones chemically altered with puberty blockers and their genitals surgically altered if they say they're a boy/girl will immediately not like them. And if they take the non-psycho answer and say that of course you shouldn't transition your seven year old, the left will regard them as a turncoat and disown them.

It’s awesome isn’t it?  When they try to collect 1-2% of votes they piss off the other 80% of voters. They are truly utterly fucked.

They lost the presidency when Obama pulled his tranny bathroom shit, they still don’t realize why they lost and are doubling down on lunacy.

No,  the dems let polling decide what they do next at every juncture. Basically they work in concert with media in phases.  They push a phase for about 2 weeks then look at polling to see if they should keep pursuing.  When they start running off enough of the "middle" they back off.

The plan the whole time was to find a way to get Trump out of office but nothing polls well enough with the public.  They know if they push as hard as the far left want to go it will be their heads on pikes.

The republicans should make a commercial featuring the transvestite reading to kindergarteners.  Sure it will piss off the liberals but the rest of the country will love it.

You get it. Only I think their polling is concentrated on echo chambers of support.

They truly believe the vast majority of the country hates trump. They completely don’t believe ever Americans life is better since trump got elected. Cognitive dissonance. Their brain can’t accept the truth and their mental illness only solidifies their belief in a world that doesn’t exist.

It’s glorious.

Tag line. This is the democrat agenda. They want to kill your babies, and if they can’t eat them...they’ll mutilate their genitals.  Kinda like Islam.

Our president ran on a fucking Muslim ban. And he won.

NPR has been wall to wall impeachment. Wednesday I heard THE most strident fellow pretty much saying impeachment is  a done deal and Trump is done.

Fast forward to this morning, not a peep. Not a single mention of impeachment whatsoever. The memo went out.

This is an important point. This entire thing is being orchestrated and all actors are taking their ques from those behind the curtain.

While I agree with the echo chamber,  EVEN SO they can still clearly see that there isn't the support out there for an impeachment and removal.

If inside the echo chamber the dissent is loud enough to raise caution,  imagine what it's like in the real world LOL

They never thought trump would declassify and release the transcript less than 48 hours of “whistleblower” accusation.

That destroyed their plan, yet they continued to follow their plan.

They made the mistake of moving forward and announcing the hearings just before he released the transcripts. I think Schiff made Pelosi think the fake whistleblower was a better source than he was and she thought they actually had something.

The real problem is within the repub party. Who the hell will even get within 10% of Trumps mastery over the dems? What we're seeing is a virtuoso performance that will never be equaled in our lifetimes. The dems have never before been horse whipped like the stinky, mangy curs they are the way PDJT has done so. With barely any sweat. The recent Afghanistan trip was done with such ease it's hard to imagine any repub being able to come close.
Any repub with ambitions of running for president had better sit at the feet of the master and learn as much as they can, while realizing they WILL fall far short. But they need to learn all out war when dealing the msm and dems (no real difference).

Trump derangement syndrome has been quite a thing to watch in action, hasn't it?

Yep. Then our president played the TRUMP card. He still holds a dozen trump cards, just waiting when to play them

If I had to bet, I would say they censure.

They thought that impeachment would be more devastating and that voters would be talking about the end of Trump over turkey. Both of those things aren’t happening.

When asked about impeachment, Dems keep answering with censure... and nobody is asking about that.

CNN seemed they got their marching orders from Pelosi.

Americans don’t buy their bullshit. Simple as that.

Americans know the media get their talking points from DNC every single day. Wikileaks proved this.

Democrats and media are enimies of our nation.
