Quoted: OK! So explain how a battery powered generator works to power your house when the electric goes out? I think its under 25hp but that means no more inexpensive generators. View Quote https://www.mobilesolarpower.net/ms-series-solar-generators/ms-437-mobile-solar-generator/ |

even though i didn't own page 2, it is dedicated to 2 stroke.

Pretty soon they'll outlaw all guns...because they aren't zero emissions.
Gotta wait for that electric ray gun in 40 watt range. But to answer folks about generators, the obvious liberal response is to build more solar and wind so there "never" will be a blackout...of course at super high cost and with unreliable grid supply |

I guess they forgot that you can order on the internet & have whatever you want delivered.
Or have an out of state family member buy it & send it to you as a gift... |

Quoted: Californians are going to lose their fucking minds when they can no longer get Jose to cut their micro lawn because he and his crew left CA thanks to this bullshit law. How are the golf courses going to find/afford electric equipment to keep up with all the mowing? More feel-good bullshit from the ultra Left that will cause more harm than good. View Quote If anything, this will help the landscaping businesses. |

CA screwed up. They banned the sale, not ownership. That will come next after they realize there's now a "small engine loophole" by purchasing out of state .

With all the undergrowth that will accumulate from uncut lawns: are they going to ban wildfires?

Quoted: Not that I agree with this law, but at one time people maintained their lawns without a fleet of loud contraptions. https://litbreviewed.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/lawn.jpg View Quote I’ve actually used one of those. My great uncle pulled this out and told me to use it when I was around 9 or 10. Im sure he thought it was hilarious but i never heard him laugh. I remember it being pretty damn heavy and taking a lot of effort for a kid. |

View Quote Golf courses, I started in that side of the business, can't be done with electric, there are no electric fairway or rough mowers. They would be better off with horse drawn. The biggest issue is turn around, 2 hours of mow time with 10-12 hours of recharge for a zero turn means you need a bunch of them or things aren't getting done. As far as I know, none of them have level two fast charging ability with lithium batteries and the infrastructure to support it doesn't exist at any golf course I am aware of. Big charging stations ain't cheap. Good news is that I don't see where they are taking away any gas/diesel/propane equipment. You just can't buy any new stuff. As of today, for tomorrrow? Who knows? This is a big deal. |

I guess we have a few years to prepare for the next influx of Californians.
I guess I better look at some lots or land. It will be going up. How about motorcycles? Did they forget all those dirt bikes Californians ride on the weekends? I think I’ll call a California legislator and tell him to look into it. |

Quoted: It would almost be worth it, if that meant I never had to hear a leaf blower again. Me and a few friends had the idea to start a silent lawn care business in CA, partially because you could see this coming. We never got it going though. View Quote |

Quoted: My dad used to make me mow with a reel mower for punishment. At least back then people didn't have retardedly big yards. (I don't care what someone does with their land and money, but when I see people mowing a couple acres, I assume they hate their wife, and its their only escape.) View Quote Nope. Just hate having neighbors close. |

it's basically a joke. |

Quoted: why do they think electric is zero emissions? how is the electricity generated? how are the lithium and cobalt coming to market? View Quote Everyone (right and left) knows and understands exactly what you’re saying, however this law in California is not meant to curtail greenhouse gas emissions, but rather NOx which in turn will impact ozone pollution formation. This is entirely clean air act related. The majority of Californians live inside geography areas that do not meet clean air act standards. And even though a switch to electric will increase demand, California doesn’t care because those electric generation units are outside the boundaries of the state. A huge percentage of electricity generation for Southern California comes from central Utah and Nevada. |

They should just ban gasoline, it’d be that much more for the rest of the nation at a cheaper price and really accelerate California’s slide into third world status, just like they want.

Quoted: 1. There is no federal law requiring serial numbers on used weedwackers and chainsaws to resell them. I can buy a new chainsaw in OH, grind all the numbers off, and mail it to CA as a pre-ban. 2. Banning generators in a state with power outage issues seems like a bold move. 3. Enterprising people at the border states can pick up the demand... 4. I actually like Lithium battery powertools, but fuck CA. View Quote Newsom says FUCK YOU Ca for trying to recall him. |

Cool, now we have preban lawnmowers. Time to start neckbearding.

Chainsaws, portable saw mills, log splitters, concrete saws, pressure washers, welders all effected?
Also, everyone one of those PODs type moving trucks has a little self contained hydraulic unit run by a four stroke engine. What about the food truck guys? This will surely not end well. |

Quoted: the end game is to have you ride a bicycle View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: why do they think electric is zero emissions? how is the electricity generated? how are the lithium and cobalt coming to market? Nope, bicycles have too large of a carbon footprint. I mean it takes energy to melt down that steel to make the frame, it takes a petroleum product to lube the chain, and it has tires, which are an ecological nightmare. Shoes are out, too, to much petroleum in there. You're going barefoot. |
