If you guys can figure this one out I'll be very impressed. I've been trying to figure out the name of this movie for about two weeks now. It is an older movie and the details are below.
There is a criminal mastermind that has a live feed of either someone that he is holding captive or some item inside of a building with a camera pointed to it. Law enforcement does not know the location of the video feed. Therefore they try to narrow the location down by shutting the power to certain areas of the city. Once the power goes out the live feed will obviously go off and they can figure out the general location. What is the name of this movie? |

Weren’t the saw movies kinda like that in regards to the bad guy?

Determine an actor in the movie. Google that name plus "filmography." Click on that link. Start clicking on titles that look promising. Before long you'll have it.
Internet. Powerful stuff. |

Die Hard...shutting the power down was the only way they could defeat the final "lock" on the vault.

I feel like I have seen this movie, but even if I could remember I wouldn't tell you on the first page.

I saw that.
Operation Petticoat with James Cagney and Myrna Loy. Ward Bond played Uncle Hooper. |

The Incredible Mixed Up Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Zombies.
Either that or The Jazz Singer. |
