Quoted: My Mother used a suppressed SBR AR to take her last few deer. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/50589/20180303_144857_jpg-3007470.JPG Productive discussion cannot take place when people are comfortable in their ignorance. Even worse when they use said ignorance to try and force their will upon you. View Quote Mom seems cool. |

She is truly one of the most purposeful ignorant people I have ever heard, she never looks at facts lest they interfere with the fantasy conjured up in her head. View Quote Not only that, but think of the extensive Deer Medical Resources that will be tied up. Bed, pillows, sheets, blankets, Medicines, Doctors & Nurses, Sutures, Bandages, Anti-Biotics & extensive physical therapy not to mention the gunshot PTSD needing professional psychiatric counseling. Virginia is one of an ever smaller minority of states that require larger cartridges. All of our neighbors except Delaware, which doesn’t allow any bottleneck cartridges, allow it, but not Virginia. Even California allows .223 on deer. |

Gee, fajitas, butterfly chops roasts, chili and jerky.
What a clueless waste of good food |

To the people saying we shouldn't hunt deer with an ar15 (5.56), why is that? Genuinely curious, I don't hunt. But it does just fine with fully grown men. The testing and popularity of heavier rounds like 77gr would seem like a great choice

There are people who hunt elk with 5.56 and will swear by it. Quoted: I dont know why you crazy gun nuts wont compromise with folks like Joy. They clearly understand how guns work and know what policy changes would make us safer. View Quote Exactly. Put aside the ignorance (natural or contrived) - they're still fundamentally anti gun. Many of them admit they seek a total ban on civilian gun ownership. Others want that but pretend they don't to look "reasonable," but that's what they really want. They take the current issue and run with it. Polymer frames: can go through metal detectors. Saturday night specials. Bolt rifles are "sniper rifles." Any semi auto is a military weapon. This is why I have no interest in "compromise." They don't want a compromise, they just want one more step. They don't want to stop. They don't even really care about sporting use, hunting, or any "legit" reasons - it's all a step. I've asked a few where they would stop - what point at which they wouldn't advocate for more restrictions. They all fumble around and divert. Some say they'd be ok with British or Australian style laws. ?? |

Quoted: This isn't stupid and they are not stupid. It's intentional. They know they are lying. They are trying to brainwash Americans. And they are succeeding. View Quote Yup, just get the phrase out there. They'll all remember they heard it somewhere, then it becomes lore, then it become fact. Truth doesn't actually play a role. |
