My wife asked me that question and I'm wracking my brain trying to think of one. Henry Fonda? No, his kids didn't even come close to what their father accomplished, especially that dirtbag Jane Fonda. Martin Sheen? Nope, Charlie turned out to be another dirtbag.
Maybe Michael Douglas, son of Kirk Douglas, and Angelina Jolie, daughter of Jon Voight. But for the most part, the sons and daughters of famous actors and actresses never approach the magnificent of their parents, for some reason. |

How about Bryce Dallas Howard over Ron Howard if comparing just acting careers?

I find it odd that no one has mentioned Alan Hale jr yet.
Not sure that he actually outshined his father, but he did rank as an equal, in my opinion. |
