My best friend's dad had a C3 Corvette as a kid and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I'd still like one, but modernized.

I've wanted a Lotus Elise since I discovered them, and I test drove one in 2013 or 14 and it was only $27k, but the wrong color () Then I ran out of funds and decided against it.

Now they're mostly over $40k

Really want a Cobra kit car.

I learned to drive a manual on the street in an Andial Racing built 1989 930 Turbo when I was 15.

My first time driving on track was in a 1996 993 GT2 race car at 17, only allowed because it was a private track day and all the corner workers knew me.

I sold a couple of those brand new. Great fun to drive.

The second one I sold was an absolute mechanical nightmare. IIRC, Ford ending up with it back as a Lemon, and it deserved to be. Electrical problems and ate the supercharger either once or twice - I don't remember.

When I was a pup, I lusted after the Datsun 240Z.

I couldn't afford it back then.

The damn things are going for stupid money these days, the old ones I mean.

Always wanted a C4 Zr-1 but I don't think I'll ever pull the trigger on one. There's so little parts remaining, any problem may not be fixable.

I am in this picture.  We referred to it as the LT-5 project.

The LT5/ZF6/Super 44 drivetrain is strong, well-built, and very reliable. Parts are not really a problem, either. Prices on C4 ZR-1's have started to really take off so if you want one, don't wait.
I was the LT5 Registry founder and have owned three ZR-1's, a highly modded 1990, 1991 Callaway Aerobody, and modified 1994. Loved them all.

war_man , did you know Greg Van Deventer at Mercruiser? Greg and I have been friends, for 25yrs.

I've owned 35 Corvettes from 1955-2002, at least 20 TriFive Chevys including three Nomads, probably 20 VW bugs and 1 Karman Ghia, numerous musclecars, a few streetrods, but I've always wanted either a 1967 VW Doublecab pickup w/Safari windows, a Deuce lowboy roadster, or a 1965 Chevelle two door wagon. If I ever win a big lottery, I'm going to buy a Ferrari Enzo.

E39 M5 and or an E46 M3.  I missed the low point on both, just.  Now they're both a lot of money for an old car.

911 is still a hero car any flavor, Original NSX is up there, 67 Mustang sport back, in hunter green, you know! Now a days Im lucky if I can find and afford a low mileage civic in a color that I can live with. Still would love to have a mid 90's Honda Accord for a daily, so reliable and easy to work on.
